I'm going to present facts, 1- grain fed/pond or lagoon kept catfish is very clean. They are contained from any other pollutants in water sources and fed "grains". So given the fact they eat grain and in a uncontaminated area supports the fact. 2- that is what is supplied to humans in stores. So if it's good enough for you it's good enough for your dog. Wild catfish, are in contaminated lakes, rivers and streams. Eat anything from plastic to whatever else can be found. The water itself is contaminated by whatever humans put in it. Chemicals, gas, oil, plastic, feces, urine and high levels of prescription medications in the water. Yes that's what I said. I will explain.

I have 3 family members who work for the water treatment plant. I have a email from them that was sent by the department of health and agriculture. In that email, they took samples from streams,lakes and rivers within the city. In those samples contained very high levels of all prescription medications. Narcotics, anti depressants to blood thinners, you name it.

Why is this in the water? Whatever you put in your body must come out. When you flush, it goes to the water dept. They treat it with UV light and Chlorine. But that only kills bacterias and viruses. Then the water is dumped back in the main river. Bingo! Meds in the water. Now imagine all the people in your city and the amount of Meds they take. Add 1/3 of that to your water source. Now, tell me how grain fed pond kept cat fish is dirty compared to lake or river fish.

 

Yes because animals are their most nutritious when fed diets made up of things they do not naturally eat, all while being kept in artificial environments with thousands of other animals so that they have to be pumped full of antibiotics and pesticides to stop the myriad of illnesses and parasites associated with factory farming any animal, but especially fish. Super healthy.
I'm not even going to touch the "but if its in the store it has to be healthy" bullshit you just spewed.

No one said it was dirty dipshit, farm raised ANYTHING but especially fish is some of the most antibiotic laden, pesticide riddled, nutritionally deficient food out there.

Is if citizens complain then a fine is in order and possibly a plant shut down until the problem is corrected. I'm sitting at the freaking water dept right now yapping it up with the pops. I'm watching 1132gpm right now of shit water containing prescription Meds flow into the river. Standing on a effluent channel backed up by, plastic bottles, condoms and tampons. Along with the occasional tire, car parts and whatever rose that fits down a storm drain. You really have no clue. If I had your number Id totally send you a picture. You would crap your pants looking at all this stuff in the water headed to the river. It would literally make you NEVER want to swim in it again let alone eat the fish. Im no expert on cat fish farming but a big commercial cat fish farmers pond or lagoon can hold between 100,000 to 500,000 gallons of water or MORE, where do you think this water comes from, a house hold water hose? Or from some stream or river? LOL

I just looked at the DOH report At the water dept I'm currently sitting at. As of last month, speaking of antibiotic. 9.9ppml is antibiotic. 2.9ppml is morphine, 4.1ppml is lexapro (anti depressant) 10.8ppml is Condiene. And there's a list as long as this thread. That's just a few. So, do you prefer you fish in a pond with antibiotic? Or a lake with antibiotic? Question of the day. But, bet the pond fish doesn't have 11.6ppml petroleum or 11.8ppml of human fecal matter. I present the facts, you decide.
