    Friend of mine got bit by a Copperhead yesterday .Last time I chatted with him he was on his 9th vile of anti venom .Don't know the final count .2 and a half foot long Copperhead.

    It is a long drawn out process. The girl that lives up the path from us was bit by one about 2' long a couple years ago. Stepped off her porch and it was under her steps.

    She stayed in the hospital for almost a week. They had to cut a chunk of skin off the back of her leg.

    My wife read this is when they are doffing off and the adults are super active.

    I'm pretty much anti-snake, period. They are all copper-mouth-cotton-head-rattler anacondas and they get the lead treatment around here.

    Hope your buddy does alright. I get home around 8 or so at night. I walk ever so gingerly as it it is getting dark and I have to feed up. I have a head lamp but I wish it ran off 220V and lit things up like a football field.....

    I posted on this thread a little whike back that a friend of mine dad got bit by a Copperhead.Talking to him this morning amd his dad got 4 viles of anti venom at 10,000 a peace .His bill was 250,000 bucks and the Hospital settled for 67,000.

    Hopefully he gets healthy.

    The costs are staggering. I do two infusions every six months for my NMO/Devic's syndrome. It is not more than a liter bag and it is $55,000 per treatment, plus the benadryl and tylenol.

    And keep it mind methadone is free.
