I've saw as many as 10 deer killed on a single drive using dogs and sometimes more.Bucks and Does some shooters shot multiple deer including multiple Bucks and every other combo in between.

DOnT try this at home .It takes a good coordinator to pull this off.You may wind up shooting one another.

Sorry y'all, but nobody will ever get me to believe hunting deer is more dangerous than hunting hogs. You shoot deer from far away, you don't run up to them while they're alive and cornered by dogs. Totally different scenario. The guys I hunt hogs with have hunted deer as well as many other animals. They're well experienced and they said there's no comparison.

Holler at me if you come down and as long as my buddies are available we'll go. They shut down during deer season and don't go as often during the heat of the summer but still go. The rest of the year it's non stop.

Look it up bro. Only 4 people have ever been killed by a boar in the US. 120 die by deer annually. The CDC is who keeps these statistics. Same with dog bites and other animal/human encounters. I found it hard to believe as well but everywhere I looked it up at said the same thing. Boars are way more aggressive all the time, no doubt about it but no one is being killed by them regularly. At least as far as it being reported goes. I would think something like that would most definitely get reported.

People who archery hunt don't shoot deer from distances. They are right on top of you when you shoot one with a bow if your on the ground or in a blind. Deer are real spooked type animals typically that will go out of their way to avoid you, unless it's a buck in rut which is when most of these incidents happen. I know of several cases over the years where someone shot a buck and instead of making sure it was dead before they approach it they walk up to it, it gets up again and the person catches an antler through the jaw.. Lol I spent 2 hours last night at 230am looking all that stuff up. Couldn't sleep. The chart I posted was from a CDC stat page. They could be lying I suppose, but I doubt it.

If I ever make it to TX you'd be the first person I'd contact. Whether for hunting or just to visit.

I'd love to do it out of a helicopter with a mini gatlin gun. Lol. I've watched videos of that. Shit looks like a blast. They find a herd of them and light the whole herd up.

I dont think its more dangerous per say, just they kill more people than boar do in attack situations.

I got a question maybe you would no the answer. Years ago when I was young my Grandfather trapped a beaver that was chewing down trees on his land it was around 70lbs. He skinned it out and threw the carcass in the bush. Anyhow his dogs were eating on the carcass he threw in the bush one dog died right after and the other went blind. I think it had something to do with the beavers liver??? could be wrong all I know is that eating that beaver killed one dog and made another blind this is 100% truth.

We do have a lot of game to hunt up here but its all normal for me. We don't have many pigs and after watching youtube videos of Bulldogin boars that just seems like a better time to me. I guess I guy just wants to try hunting what he is not use to. Like I said the ultimate hunt around here would be big horn sheep. All the animals below are shot in my province. Big horn sheep/Moose/Grizzly bear/Elk/White tail/Mule deer/Wolf

I enjoyed dog hunting much more than still hunting.

Where I grew up every body hunted and it seemed most everyone had dogs. Most were coon hounds or deer dogs with the rabbit dogs pulling a close third.

We ran each others dogs. We let out early in the morning, loaded them up and let out some one else's dogs in the afternoon.

As much as I enjoyed deer hunting with the dogs I always looked forward to deer season being over so we could coon hunt. Nothing like running thru the woods in the dark chasing dogs.

When I was younger the world revolved around hunting season. In time that faded and now I go once every three-four-five years, if that.

If I did hunt again regularly I think the hog hunting would be the way to go. It has bulldogs, the outdoors, a sense of adventure and it ends with a BBQ sandwich.

It can't get much better than that. LOL

I have never heard that. I have seen dogs pretty much eat the ass out of a dead skunk with no issues.

I imagine there are some sort of toxins in a decaying animal that would be harmful but I guess I never experienced it woth any of the yard dogs around here.

I just found a guided hunt for boar that they'll let you use a catch dog and they provied the cut vests etc and it's like 500 bucks though but and It's only like 3.5 hour drive for me. I don't like the idea of the land being fenced in though. Not fair chase at all. Eerie enough, it popped up on my timeline on FB.

FB be creeping me out. I'll think of something and sure as shit an ad will pop up that same day about what I was thinking about. Kind of makes me feel like I'm being watched or something.
