What's that genetic condition called @Bulldoghistorian gives them the short, bow legged appearance? It's clear in Shorty Cowboy pictured below and heavy in BH's dogs today.

  12. Unrelated to thread topic, but what ever happened to this cockney rebel? I fuckin loved this guy ahaahahahahahahhahaha one of my haters. I love them all. I seriously wanted to ship him a bronze sculpture of Zebo I had made for Christmas for free but he just ignored me. I asked another too. I guess they think I’m crazy or something... :-(

Agreed. Those traits were over looked for a number of generations as the 'breeding inning dogs' took precedent.

When in-breeding and line breeding the two polar opposites will always factor. One, good traits will be carried forward and two, bad traits will be carried forward.

Two options would to be one, out cross the dog to something that does not possess the same flaws as a family and two, breed to his own family but ensure it is to a dog without his structure.

Good family of dogs. We had some old Molly Bee dogs that when in bred were pretty much carbon copies of Shorty Cowboy. Same fronts, same lack of length and the same feet turning outwards.

At that time the Molly Bee dogs were of such low numbers in total population and having low percentages across the board, the out crossing to get back to good dogs fixed a lot of the structure issues.

    Great pictures.

Seen a lot of Bobby Halls dogs with it.
They can be hocked in the back legs too.
Like slim said, breed away from it. However, odds are it will pop up when you breed it to another dog who has the trait as a recessive gene. Breeding won't fully get rid of it if it's already in the gene poole but flipping it to recessive from dominant will hide it longer. Inbreeding will express it again.
