Date: Sep 1, 2008 12:46 woman "Pitbull Education 101", who added me as a friend in the past (really, a firend?), who is now accusing me and many others of having "suspect" profiles. As you will see from reading her profile, she is basically accusing anyone who has any dogs on chains of being dogfighters. I cannot speak for anyone aside from myself on that list, but I can tell you this much: WHAT SHE IS DOING IS ILLEGAL. IT IS CALLED "SLANDER", and can be used in a court of law. I have been trying for years to promote a positive image for this breed, getting people involved in conformation and weight pull shows as much as possible, shedding light on they myth that pit bulls are mean and dangerous. I have always tried to be positive and help other pet owners out by educating them about this wonderful breed. Now, because I have shared pictures of my babies sitting happily in their chainspots, some bitch comes along and accuses me of being what I despise? Get your facts straight bitch, or I will call my attorney and file a charge of slander against you.

Are you on this bitch's list?

Funny. Anybody look at her friends? Garcia's dog accessories is one. There are past and present members of this board on there (like Suki and Bullydogs), gamedog breeders, people with pics of dogs like Machobuck. (And plenty of bully folks.) All that, and she has the nerve to single people out because she thinks they're "exploiting," "adding to the overpopulation problem," and other crap? Talk about speaking out both sides of your mouth. Or maybe she's befriending these people she claims to feel the need to "call out."

ETA: Okay, yeah. I'm seeing a pattern. She's befriending the people that she's calling out.

Yeah, I sent her a comment stating what she was doing is consider "libel." Libel is basically slander in the written form. I also asked her to remove me from her pathetic list, but so far she has not. This is a person with a lot of wasted time on her hands. She needs to get her fat ass out of her computer chair and really learn something about these dogs by spending some time with them. She's blasting innocent people that are positive for this breed and in her twisted mind she thinks she is doing something good for these dogs. Stupid, stupid person!

I thought about commenting on her blog, but then it'd be just my luck I'd end up on her list. I do probably have a pic or two of my dogs wearing wide collars. Surefire sign of a dog fighter right there.

Thanks for info, i am very close to just shutting down my MySpace. Seems its more trouble than help. Hopefully, switching my profile to private will help. Why these uneducated wannabe heroes make these outlandish assumptions is freaking upsetting. Posting links to people who one assumes is associated with dog fighting is crazy, and there recipients of these actions should feel free to fire back. JMO

I have all my dog pictures so that only my friends can see them.

This lady has too much time on her hands, if she searches for people, just to make them look bad. What an a$$hat.

I'm with Bahamutt. I thought about leaving a message, but don't want to end up on the "list".

Hope you talk her into getting you off that list, Mr. Mark. Sorry she is such an idiot.

I will share this with others though, since so many seem to be on the list.

I was checking the list. I think she took you off, unless I missed yours.

I actually had her on my friends list. I didn't even know that I had her on there. I must have been careless at some point. Lesson learned.

My reply to your email OLIVIA...

Since your email blocked me :(

Accusing people of dog fighting is a very serious crime and if you have not seen it with your own eyes and only going on how you think its worded... I think it would be in your best interest to pull your accusations down and I'll take your picture down... I have not replied to any of this but I can tell you your wrong for what your doing. what if the law goes to those peoples house and just say they have a break stick and accuse them of being dog fighters just as you are and take all their dogs and kill them and then their found not guilty by a court of law... you my freind just killed all that mans dogs, do you really want to do that?

    How would feel then?

In law, defamation (also called calumny, libel, slander, and vilification) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. Slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts which arises where one person reveals information which is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person.[1] "Unlike libel or slander, truth is not a defence for invasion of privacy."[2]

    libel
    1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others. Libel is the written or broadcast form of defamation, distinguished from slander, which is oral defamation. It is a tort (civil wrong) making the person or entity (like a newspaper, magazine or political organization) open to a lawsuit for damages by the person who can prove the statement about him/her was a lie. Publication need only be to one person, but it must be a statement which claims to be fact and is not clearly identified as an opinion. While it is sometimes said that the person making the libelous statement must have been intentional and malicious, actually it need only be obvious that the statement would do harm and is untrue. Proof of malice, however, does allow a party defamed to sue for general damages for damage to reputation, while an inadvertent libel limits the damages to actual harm (such as loss of business) called special damages. Libel per se involves statements so vicious that malice is assumed and does not require a proof of intent to get an award of general damages. Libel against the reputation of a person who has died will allow surviving members of the family to bring an action for damages. Most states provide for a party defamed by a periodical to demand a published retraction. If the correction is made, then there is no right to file a lawsuit. Governmental bodies are supposedly immune to actions for libel on the basis that there could be no intent by a non-personal entity, and further, public records are exempt from claims of libel. However, there is at least one known case in which there was a financial settlement as well as a published correction when a state government newsletter incorrectly stated that a dentist had been disciplined for illegal conduct. The rules covering libel against a "public figure" (particularly a political or governmental person) are special, based on U.S. Supreme Court decisions. The key is that to uphold the right to express opinions or fair comment on public figures, the libel must be malicious to constitute grounds for a lawsuit for damages. Minor errors in reporting are not libel, such as saying Mrs. Jones was 55 when she was only 48, or getting an address or title incorrect. 2) v. to broadcast or publish a written defamatory statement.

i posted a reply to her yesterday, about how she needed some education-some of the people listed had conformation and weight pull champions.( that i know first hand)
but that comment will likely never see the light of day, as it was not in favor of her agenda
