    McCain/Palin>Obama/Biden

That's the truth. I'll add this is what I agree w/ McCain on and disagree w/ Obama on:

    Guns:
    McCain - yes
    Obama - no
    Me - yes

    Minimum Wage Increase:
    McCain - no
    Obama - yes
    Me - no

    Abortion:
    McCain - no
    Obama - yes
    Me - no

    Gay Marriage:
    McCain - no
    Obama - yes
    Me - no

Obama has no experience. He was a community organizer (???) with no executive experience. He has been a senator that spent more time campaigning than doing his job. He voted present on more than 130 bills instead of yes or no. He has been known to be in close proximity to people linked heavily with terrorism. His wife supposedly did an anti-USA thesis paper in college. Palin is more qualified as president than he is. He doesn't want to cut federal spending, wants to socialize healthcare, raise taxes on the rich. His ideas have failed governments world wide since its concept. Welfare states do not work. It only breeds the status quo by bringing down people from making wealth and empowering the impoverished. In America, you do NOT have a right to luxury or equal status. The only thing you have a right to, as stated in the Declaration of Independence, is the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You're not guaranteed anything that you can't do by yourself. With a Democratic president and a Democratic congress, he will be a rubber stamp. We need a Republican in one of those positions atleast so one ideology can't run rampant. McCain will bring more conservative values to the plate as a whole.

If it was up to me, Ron Paul would run it. Out of the nominees now, I'd rather have Bob Barr, but that won't be possible. I have to lean the way that matches most with what I believe in, and has been proven time and time again and that is McCain's ideas.

Obama all the way!!!!! Bush has been in office for the last 8 years, and its time for a change. If Mccain gets in office time will just repeat itself. Everyone is saying Obama has no experience, well thats bullshit you dont get experience until you try something. Bush didnt have any experience, well his dad did but he not his dad. What people forget to realize is, its a first time for everything!!!! Im sure when you started a certain job you didnt have experience but you had knowledge of the position and thats the same with Obama. Then I know some of you raise the issue of abortion, well what if your daughter or relative gets rapped and get pregnant... Would you want to keep the baby in the family knowing for a fact it was a mistake, and it will grow up not know its REAL father? Im sure most of you wouldnt!!!!! Second issue.... Gay Marriage!!! OMG are gays much different from you and me? Is that really what we should be worried about as Americans? Hell no1 can control if a person wants to be gay nor not, and we shouldnt judge people by their sexuality. If it's that big of a problem then its probably something wrong with you. Minimum Wage... Are you serious? Who wouldnt want more money? As high as gas is everyone needs more money.. And on top of that since gas had gone up, it has caused an ripple effect and everything else has sky rocketed!!! we paying almost 5 dollars for a gallon of milk!!!! Im not Saying Obama will change everything because it takes time but Obama will make a difference and a change to the way we are living!!!!!!!! We should worry about the real things instead of bullshit like gay mariages, and etc...

Okay, raise the minimum wage, tax the rich and the corporations. Guess who pays for all that? Guess who reduces their workforce? Guess who doesn't hire as many?

Minimum wage not meant to be a living wage anyway....it's ENTRY level stuff! It's up to US to better ourselves, not depend on the government to do it for us. LET me fail!

To Obama, America seems to be the problem (I don't think he likes this country much); to McCain, the government is the problem and no one can deny his love of country!

McCain/Palin all the way -- not perfect, have faults... but ON BALANCE better than the socialistic state Obama and the left envision.

    1. Bush isn't running again regardless what liberals say. McCain is not Bush.
    2. Bush was Governor of Texas for 2 terms. Flew fighter jets during Vietnam, is a successful business man, had the all time highest approval rating of any president (92%), had the all time highest record of votes in 2004, successfully and capably defeated Islamo-fascism, and we had a steadily rising surplus until 2006 when a Democratic congress took over. We have been falling for the past 2 years. What was Obama?
    3. I'm strictly anti-abortion. You won't get me to switch stances. It is an unborn child. I think it should be carried out through anything, including rape. It's not the child's fault.
    4. Studies have shown that through treatment, gays can and do lead a straight lifestyle. And this was done by a gay activist. Marriage is a man/woman affair.
    5. Minimum wage increase = unemployment and/or prices being passed on to customers. Buying power does not increase if minimum wage increase, especially right now with the high inflation.
    6. Any more?

Something else to think about. In the past century, how many Republicans have led us into a major world conflict?

    Ever hear of adoption?

I believe that whole abortion thing should be decided by the States, not the Supreme Court. McCain would be more likely to choose Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe v Wade and send the abortion issue to the States.

I understand it's for the entry level workers, but when someones says "America or Americans" they're usually referring to us as a whole, as one! So why not help those that need help? They should be able to survive at a minimum wage level, just as for those who arent on the minimum wage level. Im not saying they should get rich off of it, and be making they same as a professional but we should want to better our nation as a whole and not just certain groups!!!

By the way, the oil industry is taxing us!!!! Another issue that Im concerned with is these people working for these oil industries over seas making 70 to 150k a year, and we got people fighting in a WAR thats barely making 40k!!!! Now thats an issue

Yep i heard of adoption, and live it first hand!!!! My mom and two aunts were giving up for adoption as little girls by my biological grandmother... My mom was 2 at the time it happened.. That is always an option, and im not saying abortions is all the way right... Sometimes it can be good, sometimes it can be bad..... I just feel we have bigger issues

I'll put it like this. Illegal aliens are surviving on way less than minimum wage. Of course we can help, but the government has no right to make us help. To tax us for special interest programs and redistribute our money is wrong. The best thing to do is privatize it and allow people to donate to charities. These charities will then screen who actually needs help and give it to them. Not just group an average together like the government. Gas prices are high. But they should be higher. They are just now catching up to where they should have been years ago. It may seem their profits are getting higher, but you are not considering that they are paying more for resources.

Illegal aliens are surviving because they know how to stick together and help each other out!!! I agree with you on the charity thing and thats a damn good idea, but the government has funded some many organizations and the funds have been misused... So i think thats out of the question, unless someone comes up with a very effective method... I dont think gas prices should be higher, hell its getting to the point where your gas bill is almost the same as your car note!!! you still have to think about the commute, kids, kids activites, and your personal errands.

I also don't think they should be higher, BUT they are just now catching up to where they should have been earlier. They were artificially kept low. Look at Europe and their gas prices . We are just now catching up to our own inflation.

    Just some quotes:

"The government's philosophy is to fix something until it's broke."

"If you're not a liberal at 21, you have no heart. If you're still a liberal at 40, you have no head."

I like talking politics, but in some forums it's very hard to. Especially in a non-political forum. People places issues in different preferences. For me it goes Gun rights, taxes, civil liberties, foreign policy. For someone else it may be civil liberties, foreign policy, economy. I base my stance in a true Republican conservative ideology. This is the way our founding father's created the great nation and I believe it's the only way for it to continue. Anything else is taking a step back, IMO.

Here's another thing to think about. Obama is for "Change". Why, if he is for "Change", did he select a Washington insider of 40 years while McCain picks an outsider that has defeated and called out a corrupt political system in Alaska? Why have people been comparing the Republican VP to the Democratic Presidential nominee? It only serves to make the duo of McCain/Palin look more qualified when the VP has more executive experience than Obama. To add, how does he intend to pay for $660 billion in new spending without raising taxes on families and small businesses?

    Things McCain has done:
    *Troop surge in Iraq -successful
*Fought bravely for our country, turning down offers to come home because other POWs were at the camps before him
*Navy liaison and has 17 military awards
*Supported Gramm-Rudman that enforced spending cuts
*Works with both Republicans and Democrats
    *Supported Bush Tax Cut
*Exposed Jack Abramoff Indian lobbying scandal
*Extend Habeas Corpus to terrorist detainees
*Questions Bush on progress in Iraq
    *Anti pork barrel spending

This is a man of conviction with the experience of how to handle a military which is what we need right now. 2 wars on different fronts and some predicting a larger Russia-Georgia conflict in our midst. I think he will run the military better than Obama.

  15. I only have 1 thing to say. Mccain wasn't even a naturalized citizen.

Being born to parents of US citizenship counts. Please don't reach for straws.

Article 2 Section 1 Clause 5 of the Constitution states:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, that the children of persons duly naturalized, dwelling within the United States, and being under the age of twenty-one years at the time of such naturalization, and the children of citizens of the United States born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States. Provided, that the right of citizenship shall not descend on persons whose fathers have never been resident of the United States. No person heretofore proscribed by any state, or who has been legally convicted of having joined the army of Great Britain during the late war, shall be admitted as foresaid, without the consent of the legislature of the state in which such person was proscribed.

IF Mccain dies while in office we will be in trouble. She was mayor of a pimple of a town in AK and created a 23 million dollar defict while in office and hadn't left the country till last year. Also look up Mcain and alzheimers..seriously this elcection is like a south park episode we are choosing between a shit sandwhich and douche bag IMO.

Don't know if it'll even be worth the vote this year, since both of them back policies that make me scratch my head till it gets to bleeding, McCain might fall over with the next wind but his VP is inexperienced, hypocritical and might be crazy, and Obama is a big old barrel of inexperience amd "wtf". Sitting in the senate for a while does not mean you can run a country

Palin is a great choice. Why would we be in trouble? Her "inexperience"? Now we're back to the experience topic which she holds more of than a certain Jr. Senator from IL. If the vice president is being criticized for inexperience, why not give the same attention to the Democratic presidential nominee??? A governor or mayor has more executive experience than any senator. Simply because they are directly responsible for their people.

    *Governor of Alaska
*Served 2 terms on Wasilla city council
    *2 terms being mayor
*chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 to 2004 while also serving as Ethics Supervisor of the commission
*Was in charge of police dept
    *Cut property taxes by 40%
*Filed suits against her own party (Randy Ruedrich)
*Worked on oil and natural gas development
*Used veto power to cut $237 million dollars in projects.
    *Member of the NRA
*Retains power of 4,200 member Alaskan National Guard in case of state crisis (i.e., floods, tornadoes, civic emergencies)

And just a little tid bit, she endorsed Dianne Keller instead of a family member in their quest for mayor. To me, that means she has real business ethics.

Would you want a Republican president backed by a Democratic congress, or have a Democratic president backed by a Democratic congress? Where would the checks and balance go?

I'd really want a Paul/Palin ticket but until 3rd parties start getting more than 6% of the votes, we'll be stuck between the major 2 parties. In the primaries I vote 3rd party. In the general election they stand no chance. And won't until something major happens.
