I just recently found out that I am a republican. LOL

I hate illegals, I hate welfare and I hate being told what I can and cannot do by the government. The only thing I am a huge supprter of is pro-choice, that boggles my mind that those who oppose the government to tell them what to do are in support of being told what to do on the pro-life cause.

Can one of you explain that to me without an arguement ? That to me is rather contradictory to the belief of the man telling you how you can and cannot live your life, would have thought most people would be in support of being your own boss of what you can do with your own body.

I have been following this candidate race for quite a few months now and there is no way do I feel Osama bin Bama...I mean Barrack Hussaan Obama should be the president. The man is clueless and hates this country....sorry that right there should be red flags to all these blinded supporters never mind the fact that he feels WE as ameicans should learn how to speak spanish to allow the illegals to better communicate with us....GTFO with that BS, over my dead body, nope not on my watch.

I really hope McCain makes it ( he should ) an the addition of Sara Palin was brilliant. I will be able to sleep at night knowing those 2 are in the capitol taking care of business, I can only imagine the sleepless nights i'd have with Barry running the show.

Well, I can tell you that yesterday McCain was polling ahead of Obama for the 1st time, I believe. What makes it odd is that usually Republicans don't pull ahead until much later in the race. Of course, these polls mean nothing until the actual election. Just something I'm throwing out there.

As far as the pro-choice/pro-life issue. Republicans, as a whole, are a Christian dominant group. As Christians, most believe life begins at conception. Now, remember that the Declaration of Independence states, we have a right to "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness." Considering that we believe life starts at conception, by aborting, we are killing another human being, violating his/her right to life.

I'm 20 years old.... and i'm what some would call a Neo Con. when my political interest came into it's self i always sided with the conservatives.... as i grew more i realized that i am indeed an extreme right winger....

IMO, being an extremist is a hindrance. Too far right, you start teetering on isolationism. Too far left, and you're looking at Soviet Union breadlines. As for me, I think we should be able to do what we want as long as we don't infringe on other people's rights and uphold the moral code of the Bible.

your not a Republican.. your a racist.... LMMFAO hahahaha..... but i'm with you... my Yankee Friend....

but about abortion... it's not about the gov. telling you what to do... Abortion is Murder.... it's the killing of a human life, I'm sorry but you can not disagree on this fact, regardless of how one feels about the subject that facts are the same... A baby is NOT part of a womans body.. the fedus is a parocite, an orginisum that relys on a host to survive... God gave the woman the uterous to suport this parocite.... more times than not Abortion is used as BIRTH CONTROLE because the people don't want to deal with the situation they got them selfs in by whoreing around....

The hypocritical part that i see is that if a prego woman gets killed the person that kills her gets charged with two murders.... And this HAS happened..... A 12 year old child can have sex and get an abortion (in some states) with out the parents knowing about it... BUT in those same schools the CHILD needs permission to take ADVIL...

Thanks for that answer, was wondering how that was being viewed.

I am still a firm believer in having free rights to do as one sees fit to themselves, I mean honestly...if I want to sit in my basement huffing glue or god forbid drive while not wearing a seatbelt no one but me should say what I am doing is right or wrong, it has nothing to do with anyone else so the man should stay out of our business. Where does it end ? Sooner or later if that was an enforced law then jerking off will be considered a crime shortly after. Seriously, how many dead soliders have we as men collectively shot down the drain ? Not sure about you but I know I can account for a few million back in my teen years. So are we not some form of murderers for not placing our swimmers where they belong ? See how what I mean, where does it end if given that control to the government ?

As for abortion being used as birth control ? Even if that really was the case I feel the unwanted child would be better off not being born at all. This world is already a screwed up place that one would really be behind the 8 ball of life if he or she was constantly reminded that they were never wanted in the first place. My ex was that girl and I can tell you she is one fucked up individual that has amounted to nothing in life and is now currently living off the system breeding more unwanted kids into this world.

Thats one i'll never agree on, already paying for plenty of children of the system that it will only get worse if a law such as pro-life ever got passed, not to mention all the back ally abortions that will be taking place at an alarming rate.

    I strongly support human culling.

well, since maccain is probably going to die in office (old fart), I don't want Palin running the country and telling rape victims/incest victims they can't have abortions.... or having her tell me I can't learn evolution in school (or have creationism replace it).
plus sarah palin hates polar bears and cats.

    my vote's on obama.

    executive experience? neither does mccain.

anywho, just wanted to add -- obama came out of harvard law, top of his class. he could've gone onto being a lawyer and making 500 grand a year, but he went to South Chicago helping troubled teens (hence title; community organizer).

It's a personal opinion she has. A law like this would never pass.

    On creation and evolution:
Palin, Oct. 25, 2006: Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject – creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides.
A couple of days later, Palin amended that statement in an interview with the Anchorage Daily News, saying:
Palin, Oct. 2006: I don't think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn't have to be part of the curriculum.

Please explain this??? She hates them because she wants them off the endangered species list? Do you know why?

McCain leading Navy squadron>Obama's local community organizer. I could, if I wanted to, go into why and how a man leading a military squadron is comparable to a man leading a nation.

Anything else I may help you on?

just to put this out there, i saw an interview about UFC and other sports like it, mccain calls it human cock fighting and wants to put an end to it.
does that change any minds about what kind of person he might be??

This is a pretty good thread when you think of the position of our country today. Sure, our country has seen better days, but its also seen worse. As far as the Republicans stand, IMO theyre focusing on "character" or "personality" instead of focusing on the true issues we face.
Democrats, of course, are looking to fund whatever splintered agenda their collection of delegates/lobbyist support.
To me it seems as though when you're off course in rough waters, the best thing to do is go back to fundamentals to regain control of your ship. The Constitution is the RUDDER of our country. Steering and guiding us when the line blurs or the objective becomes obscured. My candidate knows and defends the constitution. My prez is Ron Paul. Ive always been a Republican, always espoused the views of conservatism and small government. In this era of "grab their guns, gas their dogs" private property rights are being trampled and ignorned by the powers that be. Theyve lost respect for the common man. Theyve lost respect for our rights. When governments begin to act like this, it is because the people allow it. As Americans, the most free, most rebellious, and most "we aint gonna take this crap" people ever to cross this Earth, the question is not "how did we let them get away with this?" But "whos ass do we kick to get back to good?" The man in the mirror (Us) is the one who needs straightened up!! A restoration CAN come from the top down, but usually starts from the bottom up. At the grassroots level, with the common people. Thats the pool our founding fathers came from, and that is the pool which will yield the next generation of freedom fighters. Step in line with the rest of the sheep if you want to. Mark your X beside "douche bag" or "shit sandwich", but Im taking a sharpie into the both with me. If they don't have Ron Paul's name on the ballot, Ill givem a great example of a write in candidate!

Someone that probably equates it with his own experience of being a POW and the punishment he had to take. Probably hard for him to separate the two circumstances.

The sad thing, I cannot vote. I lost that right many moons ago however I encourage anyone who can vote to not be blinded with the smoke and mirror tricks Barry is trying to pull over on everyone. Everyone promises hope and change but seldom do any follow through with what they say and you can bet that Barry will be no different.

He says his track record speaks for itself.....what record ? What has he done in all of his 143 days in the senate ? What was this track record before the seat in the senate ? What promises were made to get him elected to the senate ? What promise has he followed through on since his arrival ? Do you think he knows which 57th state he represents ? LOL

If its hope you want I can sell you that for free, why allow him to give you hope at the cost of the country ?

Change ? Oh you can bet there will be change alright, with Barry in office....not the good kind of change though, the only change you'll get with Barry in office is the few pennies and dimes left in your pockets after he's done.....not exactly the change all the Barry supporters have in mind.

There is so much about his past and the relationships he has shared with some very sketchy people that cannot be overlooked. He had a very lengthy relationship with Bill Ayers the terrorist, and Jerimiah Wright ? How can anyone attend his church for 20+ years and not know they were attending a hate mongering church ? He's a muslim...oh wait...no he's not...oh wait yes he is..... If he himself does not know what he is then how in the hell are the rest of us suppose to know ? I refuse to trust anyone who share the same religious beliefs as those who crashed planes into the twin towers, he has made several refferences to his disdain for the USA and how other countires view us....Does that not warrent some skepticism ?

Sorry he can go sell crazy elswhere.....all stocked up here.

Shouldn't the economy and the well-being of our country as a whole be much more important than those issues? Seriously, it sounds to me that you aren't looking at the big picture.

If our economy completely collapses, your issues won't matter a bit.

Did anyone watch Plain make her speech on Wednesday Night? I did not like the remark she made about Pitbulls and Hockey Moms. I have really been trying to weigh the two choices we have, but still can't decide. I also was pulling for Ron Paul. IMO, You should have rights to guns and choice. Once you let the Gov. take control of that, what's left?

Im going for Mccain/Palin. there is just something about obama that just rubs me the wrong way. What I dont understand about the whole abortion things is, you can have an abortion and it not be consider murder. Now if someone hits or pushes a woman and it some how causes them fetus to die, that person can be charged with murder?

does anyone have a prob with the fact that palin has a special needs child and has in my opinion passed him off to a nanny, putting aside her motherly duties to try and dable in politics?
and how about the fact that she couldn't even teach her duaghter the basic values of not getting knocked up. at least use a condom.
