Yeah I doubt Floyd loses on the cards. You think Manny can hit him?

i dont see floyd getting knocked down if thats what your asking, but im sure it will be a good enough fight. had this happened 5 years ago i think it would be better. but i dont see manny knocking out or even knocking down floyd, keep in mind floyd has never been knocked down & he goes into bigger fighters them himself, and he still looks good. floyd fought and beat the shit out of JMM, and looked good doing it. manny lost to JMM and has struggled with fighters his own weight. i think it will be a good enough fight, but after all this hype pumping it up......i see it being a dissapointing night for the phillipino community.

Yeah that's what I was basically asking. I believe a lot of folks that want Floyd to get beat dislike his personality and that plays a factor. But I don't see Manny being able to beat Floyd, 5 years ago I agree it's be a better fight, and Floyd would win by a bigger margin lol.

Boxing math doesn't always work that way..Well where should I start jmm came up in weight to fight floyd mayweather and floyd didn't even make weight at weigh in and refuse to weigh in on fight night night btw when marquez fought manny in his last 2 fights he might of been juiced to the gills jmm body never looked like that not even in his prime..jmm wouldn't even think of juicing against mayweather because mayweather demands Olympic style testing who the hell at 37 has all of a sudden has the body of a underwear model (jmm). Manny beat the breaks off dela hoya and mayweathers fight with oscar dela hoya was really close.. Miguel cotto had a good fight mayweather and manny finished him. Shane Mosley caught money may with a slick over hand right that almost put him on his ass but floyd held on to his arm after that floyd adjusted and picked him apart now mannys fight with sugar was a little closer.. They both almost killed rick hatton.. Style make fights.. Floyd is the best and even though manny is a year younger I think he is declining faster than mayweather because of his style of fighting..

dont forget, manny is also comming up in weight to fight floyd. floyd is used to fighting bigger fighters them himself.

I haven't really followed boxing lately but my humble opinion is that both pacquiao's and mayweather's boxing acumen has gone downhill over the last few year's as is to be expected of aging pugilists. However, the curve seems to favor Mayweather on this aspect, based on what I remember from most recent matches of both. pacquiao's speed, if it remains relevant throughout the fight, may be something that mayweather may not be able to adjust to, given that there is a slight slow down on reaction time for mayweather. This may allow pacquiao to score more landed punches, because the counter attack from mayweather should not deter pacquiao. It may also lead to a surprise blow that could be devastating to mayweather and spell knockdown or even knockout. On the flip side if Mayweather has refocused his efforts on elusiveness then this will be the key to his win.

I would like to see Pacquiao win because of some of the suspect bouts Mayweather has participated in but given some of the factors surrounding this fight it will be difficult for Pacquiao to win but not impossible.

I'll take that bet !.. The loser sends the winner a money order via "snail mail"..
A 40lb bag of kibble costs me $40.. Let me know if the kibble you feed is in the same ballpark..

Yep about $35, we can call it $40 though.

Agree with Cableguy. JMM looked like he was 25 when he fought Pac. Pac has to come way up to fight at 147. Floyd is far closer to being a natural 147 than Manny.

I favor Floyd. Five years ago I would call it even with Manny's movement and relentless onslaught neutralizing the boxing and distancing of Floyd and vice-versa. It would then go to the cards. Mayweather's style will always win the cards.

Fast forward five years. Both fighter's skill sets have diminished with time. I think Manny's has diminished a lot more than Floyd's due to age and his style of fighting. Floyd's style can prolong a career.

For me it looks like Floyd ducked the fight until he had an older/slower/pounded on Manny in his sights. Now he acts as if he is doing the boxing world a service by agreeing to this fight. Fact his, he did the boxing world a dis-service by ducking for sol long. S

Well seems to me Floyd has never said he didn't want to fight him, Manny just wouldn't agree to the terms that Floyd wanted.

It wasnt the fighters that held it up. It was mannys manager/promoter bob arum....
