How long do guys generally work your dogs on the spring pole? I've been leating her go until I feel like she's getting too hot/tired. She's never stopped willingly on her own.

I've let all of my dogs play on the spring poles, but have never actually used it as a serious training tool. I don't plan on doing any conformation, but am doing sports competitions so would like her in shape as much as possible, and a sexy beast :p

All dogs are different and that goes for any workout. Just keep an eye on your dog and use common sense.

Just teasing but here hasn't been a lot of pictures this summer and someone has to get things going . It's hot maybe 10-15 minutes a day with your dog . You don't won't them getting to hot and you can't get them to recover . Main thing is just have fun with it but always watch your dog so it's not working to much .

Do you generally work them every day on it or just rotate? I've been waiting until the suns going down to do the spring pole, and do agility in the morning with her obedience stuff scattered in. And usually take all 3 of the dogs for a hike during lunch.

I'll see what we can do for bikini photos for ya, won't be of me though...dont want to give you nightmares lmao

What i would do is like you said work when it's cooled off . Then do it 2-3 times a week . But always watch so you know they're not getting over heated because it can happen fast in this heat even at night . If they get to hot hose them down good . It's good your doing obedience and other thing so the dog will have fun and not get bored . Have fun and and don't be shy no none likes the way they look . But i'm sure your just fine .

Great, it's not all that hot here...We've been topping out in the low 80's, so evenings and mornings aren't bad. I've been letting her hit the spring pole almost daily. I , should probably cut her back.

I feel like she's kinda into the spring pole. I started this 9 minutes after she first gripped on....it continued with the same enthusiasm for a good 13 minutes.

I always make mine so the dogs have all 4 feet on the ground at all times.

Spring pole was one of my favourites!.. I used it for 10 minute warm ups, 30 minute main sessions for dogs who won't work anything else, 15 minute closing sessions to help a dog recover in hold after a workout and almost everything else in between, also great to see them strain on the lead as they approach where the Spring pole located :) Two of mine below..
