I also saw a show posted a few years ago in Indiana but haven't seen any since. You may have folks from neighboring states interested also.

    Yes. The Hoosier APTC.
In the past, we have supported many local clubs.
    Fox Valley
    Hoosier
    Bulldog Heaven
    Show Me State
    Mid Mo
I want to venture to more. I am unable to drive currently..so that is dampened.
I have been on both sides of the fence in supporting the ADBA. The clubs are really ran by the folks in those states..most of which are fantastic individuals. Very family orientated and ran well. I want to support and be part. Sometimes the politics get under the skin...but that is true for our countries politics also. What can be done?
Im at a point where i need to choose which direction we are headed....something new may be the ticket...

Good luck. No idea why anyone would vote no since it really benefits the dogs as a whole. Anyway, I wish them luck in their endeavours. It's not easy to get one off the ground. Wish we had more people devoted to it around my own area. Never could get the support to start one here or the right people in place locally to actually be successful at starting a club. Keep us posted on any upcoming shows. I got a dog in Decatur. ;)

AGK..ya..i thought the same on the no vote.
Was not sure that i made it a vote..
Yes. The club is in early planning stages. Im trying to help spread word. Can you verify that the link worked? Not sure if it was correct format or whatever.
If you or any of the mods can make it more viewable here..by all means feel free.
Wonder if I k ow of the person with the dog. In Decatur. Or possible the fella who is forming the club..as I believe he is from there as well. Be interested in passing these Decatur folks word...
Have some folks onboard to help we just need to keep going and trying to get others interested.
As staub said..neighboring states surely will be interested. Indiana club has not had any..Illinois..no...so folks from them would maybe interested..then u have the folks thst go to every single show....they would probably go...gotta get them points trophies braggin rights...
There have been a lot of clubs forming all over the world and the registry has grown..regardless of their new breed re-classification mess. There are a couple other newer registries i really like the folks..and ideas...
My dogs have slight amount of AKC blood..so only accepted by some.
ADBA is in a critical stage and though I do not understand some of the politics, its historic approach suites me. The people..
I use to get their magazine and all..but recently decided it was just funding the exclusives ..the elite few that are promotable in it or that afford it. After some online encounters with some of those..and the fronts that they put on their websites..in order to portray themselves as folks the opposite of their true character, I stepped back..just as I have from many sites..clubs ..organization
Ill be honest. I am not much on social anything..media..outings...clubs...
    As I get older...it seems to get worse....or better...however u see it..ha ha.

By all means folks contact the fella and help us get this off the ground.

C four owns the dog I was referring to. Very nice guy, takes great care of his dogs. When I press the link this is what shows up. I'll make it a sticky which will keep it bumped up top.

I will send him a text with this application today. I would think anyone who is moderately involved or more in the dogs would see this as a good thing to be apart of. Will definitely give him the information.

There 's no set number of people required but you want to have enough members to be able to put on a show. Here are the guidelines:

OUTLINE FOR STARTING ADBA SANCTIONED CLUB
    Establish Club Membership:
Before you can become a Sanctioned Club, you will need to have paying members. ADBA recommends a membership that includes enough active members to properly conduct a large event without relying on outside help.
The club’s name as well as the yearly membership fee is to be decision of the committee in charge of the formation of the club. (i.e. $25.00 for a single person and $35.00 for a married couple or family.) A list of clubs membership is required and must be included when applying for ADBA Sanctioned club approval.

    Club Officers:
After you have established your membership, the club officer positions will need to be filled. This can be accomplished by selection, appointment or election for a clubs 1st year officer positions of; President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations and Local Legislative Agent (LLA). A complete list of all officers of the club as outlined in clubs By-Laws must be submitted when applying for ADBSI Sanctioned status Club Officers

Establish a Checking Account For The Club:
Start a checking account in the club’s name with the membership fees. (Signatures of two officers who do not reside in the same household are required on account). Keep in mind that all fees collected are that of the club and not one individual person. All monies collected will go toward club functions, shows, etc. Detailed information should be kept by the club treasurer regarding club funds. Club books to be open to membership as outlined in clubs By-Laws on file with ADBA.

    Establish Clubs Constitution and By-Laws.
The club will need to establish their individual Constitution& By Laws (sample copy is available in the Club Kit for clubs review). This describes duties of the officers, clubs mission statement, procedures of operation, etc. A copy of the club’s Constitution & By-Laws is required when applying for ADBA Sanction status.

Establish relationships of good will to sister clubs within your area.
Acceptance letters from any/all existing ADBA sanctioned club within your area (300 miles) although not mandatory, will greatly affect the outcome when applying for ADBA sanctioning. Therefore, we strongly advise that all new forming clubs acquire an official letter of “welcome/good will” from all existing ADBA sanctioned clubs within your area to accompany your request to be recognized as an ADBA Sanctioned Club.

Once your club has completed the steps above, submit a request to be recognized and sanctioned by the ADBA, along with the information listed above by emailing your written request to Heather@adba.cc
