I see there's an exemption if it's a show dog. I'd imagine adba and everybody will have a bunch more show people in SC if it passes.

Im here outside of the capital Columbia SC. I haven't seen this. Also it's a proposal. The State Paper is the best and biggest paper here in SC. So I wouldn't take this b.s. proposal to seriously. The weather today is sunny and 60°... You got to love that.. also home of the national champion Clemson Tigers

Damn, they went into real detail with that law. Pa just passed a tethering law last year. Pennsylvanias law has some holes in it though that can be argued. That law you posted is way more detailed..

These stupid laws are passing in places I would think they could never have passed then bam, they pass. It's insane.

They tried proposing a tethering law here about 13 years ago and it didn't pass.

They tried again 2 years ago and it passed easily.

    Times are changing.....

You Should take it seriously. These laws are passing easily all around the country. By the time people get wanting to get involved in stopping the idea, its too late and the ordinance or law gets passed.

Florida just went through this with greyhound racing.

Breed bans still are happening in many of the states.

Tethering laws are become popular throughout the states as well.

Pa is huge with people who hunt with dogs, yet passed a law on tethering them with little to no opposition. I didn't hear anything about the law or it even being proposed. By the time I did, it was already signed into law.

Don't wait until it's too late or be nieve enough to think, well, it's just a proposal. This IS the time to get it shot down completely. While it's being thought about enough to be proposed as a ordinance..

Especially those who reside in S.C.

Once it becomes a law it's much harder to get it changed or overturned. I wouldn't brush it off nonchalantly. These laws are passing easily these days.

You're right things are changing. People are going to have to get involved in local politics and state politics to keep things from happening like this.
