No jail time but a similar conversation, may lead man at work is a a pretty big guy, former college basketball player. We were talking about transgender a couple years ago when NC had the bathroom law and people were in an uproar.

My son was grown so I did not have his same thought process. He has two little girls and the conversation turned to my girls can't go to the men's room so I can watch them so when they go to a public bathroom I have to stand at the door. He then said if some trans-cross dressed-man who happens to identify as a woman tried to go in the bathroom while his little girls were in there, there would be a new bath room law. His. They would stand and wait.

Without a small child, especially two little girls, I was not thinking like him, but after a quick thought, I totally agree.

    No doubts.

The guy that works for me the same, just wanting what he sees best for his kids.

And watching some freak looking man going into a female bathroom when his girls are inside is not what he sees as best.

I did not sleep last night and was up at 2AM, turned the TV on and the first commercial aired was two guys on some sort of date. I thought what a coincidence we had just had this conversation on the forum.

    It's everywhere.

If there is any one here from the Norfolk, Va area there is a restaurant just off Little Creek, or at least it was 30 years go. My girl friend, who was a little more worldly and open minded than I was at the time, said this restaurant was the deal. I wnet in and had a "Ross Perot Burger". It was a honking hamburger patty, several types of cheeses and smothered in an awesome Texas type chili between a really fresh Kaiser type bun. It may be the best burger I have ever had. We start eating there most every Saturday and even a time or two during the week.

One Saturday my buddy and I were hanging out and I said let's eat here, it is awesome. He said he was not going in a fag bar and I said, fuck you, we can eat at Taco Bell.

So the next time we went I looked around. Sure enough, every one was not paired up like me and my girlfriend. It was sure enough a gay bar/restaurant.

From then on, I would send her and get my 'Ross Perot Burger' to go.

And that was 30 years ago. Times sure have changed.

I think there's a pendulum swinging phenomenon going on. There are people in the US and other countries who have been prosecuted for calling a transgender person a man if they were originally a man, and vice versa - it's a hate crime to do so. The using of bathrooms issue, as mentioned by others in this thread, is very likely to lead to lawsuits against the use. This is a lawyer's dream come true!

Bathrooms... My late father, rough and tumble guy from south side Chicago. Told me when he was a kid he and cohorts would wait near the basement toilets in the old picture theaters for “a couple fruits” to come down...followed by a tune up.

Folklore has it he did a short stint in the juvenile reformatory. He along with a couple others took good care of a priest allegedly molesting some of the unwitting boys locked up there. Not necessarily funny just a different era.

I think the old man was ahead of his time with his accusations most Catholic priests were child molesters. I tend to agree.

Unnatural sexual deviancy comes in different formats, some still statutorily illegal all strange. All I can say better them than me, my family. Protect your own and God will judge.

    Agreed.
    I tend to babble.
I went to boot camp in San Diego and it was my first time in a big city after growing up in rural NC. My first night on the town i hooked up with with a guy from 10 minutes from my home town and another guy from New Jersey.

If you have ever been down to the red light district in San Diego around 32nd street/National City every block goes from regular hookers, to cross dressers, to trans, to queers, basically every persuasion from block to block.

We pulled up in a truck and one guy leans out the passenger window and said, "Come over here baby". The thing that walked over was obviously a man in a mini-skirt.

I was kike, WTF, my first night out and I am with two fags.

The kid from New Jersey leaned out the window and just as it looked like they were going to kiss, he snatched the guy in the head lock and the other guy dumped the clutch. They took him for a 25MPH ride and let him go. From the rear view mirror all I could see was elbows and knees flopping down the road.

    The called that fag-rolling.

It scared the shit out of me because I'm thinking this was a great way to get shot.

And a few weeks later on another trip out the truck got two holes shot in the bed.

I'm not much on the queer thing but they had it coming.

There's the old joke about a man who feels like a lesbian trapped in a man's body, and she of course loves women. I guess that could be a real thing.

Times sure have changed! Today, that kinda thing would be a hate crime and get somebody damn near 40+yrs in the bing. I’m glad we got away with what we could before they started given out hockey jersey numbers for sentences on everything

    That is true.

    Agreed.

My buddy who led a rough and tumble lifestyle was a heavy drinker, not a mean drunk, but a drunk that liked to fight.

He was joking the other day and said nowadays before you square up with a guy you have to first check to see if he is of your own race, 100% heterosexual and you must share the same religion.

If any of those are not true and you simply punch him in the nose you can forget simple assault and the cost of court.

"You fittin' to do some time".

Exactly! If you and a gay man are just fighting you may get an assault charge. If you call a gay man a fag while you’re kickin his ass you get a hate crime

    Exactly.

I'm bad (in a hurry) and read headlines but do not always read the entire articles.

I saw a headline a few months ago about a boy who forfeited a wrestling match because he was lined up against a girl who now identified as a boy.

Just imagine if that kid beat up a girl (on the mat) and then added a little trash talk. Maybe even used the word bitch. That kid would get 10 days at home and in a lot of cases those 10 days is the difference between passing and failing.

The line in the sand is constantly moving, swinging further and further away from where it should be.

You either agree/support those lifestyles or you are an ignorant homophobic asshole without any moral character.

I am a self admitted babbler.....and after a 6 hour chemo treatment today me and sleep are not on the same page.

My pops was raised in the rural south. If you listened to his words he may as well been the grand-poo-pah of the klan. He dropped "N" word in regular conversation as if it were just a word. No one liked a black, jew or polish joke more than him. If you listened to him or read something he said there was no other conclusion than he was an absolute racist.

His best friend in the world, closer than even his own brothers, was black. They worked together, fished together, cooked together and most of all drank together. One would talk about red neck white trash and the other would talk about lazy ass N's that would not hold a job. They would put you into mind of Archie Bunker and George Jefferson from back in the day. Both great fathers, great husbands, great family men and both truly believed in a hard days work. However neither minded pointing out the stereotypical shortcomings of the others race and neither was open minded about the subject.

And back to the topic....my pops was the assistant superintendent of his plant and his 'best' friend was the superintendent. There was a girl about my age they hired and turned out she was gay but an outstanding employee. In high school she was as fine as frog hair. I hated to see her swing that way.

In a production meeting with the owners of the plant it was brought up she was a distraction because she was gay. It went around the room and the vibe was to let her go. My pops said, "No way!". Not because of a moral issue but because she hit her production targets at the highest percentage of any one in the plant. Man, woman, straight, gay.

And in true southern, redneck form, he followed it up with , "Hell, I eat pussy too, how can I hold that against her".

That was his first encounter with classes about "other people's feelings in the work place". I am sure it was the first of many.

From Good Morning Britain. Note that some transgender people do not think it's fair that born men with female identity are competing with born women:

The good ol South! Where else can two racists, of opposite races, get along with each other but y’all shit on the rest of the others race?! I tell ppl all the time I love Southern racists over Northern ones. A Northern racist is usually in the closet and not too many KNOW. A Southern racist is in your face and not too many CARE! These days as long as you’re not TOUCHING someone, words are let go easier than they used to be. In the right, or wrong, place certain words will still get your ass kicked

Since we're venturing into politically incorrect territory, I saw sonething about Google evaluating a bunch of job data, and they realized that they had been underpaying men.
