Eating grass

    Is a dog eating grass a bad thing?

    They do it to relieve theirself from hairs inside their stomach, by eating grass they throw it all up. No it isn't a bad thing.

    There are many reasons they do it. Every single one of mine here grazes when they are out of their kennels. For no other reason than to just eat it.

    Other suggested reasons why your dog might be eating grass could be improving digestion, treating intestinal worms, or fulfilling some unmet nutritional need, including the need for fiber.

    I had an old school country doctor type vet who explained it exactly this way.

    He said you could make changes in their lifestyle, their diets, their worming, etc. etc. and dogs that eat grass will still eat grass.
