A male becomes a ROM dog when he produces 4 champions, a female, 3.

Why the difference in numbers for the male and female? I'm familiar with the term, but didn't know the numbers...

I'm not sure what Producer of Record means though...(help us gamedog newbies! lol)

Also, I know ROM can be used for show dogs, can POR also?

female is limited to how many litters she can produce in a live time, whiile a male can produce like twice a week or something like that.

if rom is used for show dogs? lol then so can por.

OH okay that makes sense. Still waiting on the POR...I'd assume it's something similar, but I'm not exactly sure what it requires.

  9. DEACON ROM

    point scale

    15 for male
    10 for female

    each win worth 1 point

No, both systems are no longer verified since the only way to make ROM or POR is illegal! People that peddle over the internet love to stick those on their dog to sell more puppies.

So let's say a dog throws off 3 -4 ACE's (WEIGHT PULLING) or 3-4 SHOW CHAMPS
Is he or she ROM or POR or just a PROVEN PRODUCER OF CHAMPIONS?

These terms were meant for "true" performance dogs. I would not even worry about the terms now. Especially when looking through pedigrees online. It just odd that there are soooo many more ROM's on there than in there ever where in the magazines.

I feel ya, I was looking up Zebo's ped and He was bred down from Dibo in one and a PR dog in another.

  18. Are you sure you were not looking at ZIBO? I believe he was from PR or something like that.

  19. And DEAD END KENNELS? That was my kennel name from 1991-2000. Then I combined with several other Kennels. Boston Bad Boy Kennels etc. and we became Krunch Kennels Combine. I kept my DEAD END KENNELS tattoos tho. Never covered them.

  20. Sorry, my dates are wrong. Damn fat thumbs. DEAD END KENNELS was my name from 1991-1996 then again in 2000 after Krunch split up. Then I just faded away from the dogs as I did other things. Now I am coming back as Krunch again.
