Psycho

Everyone goes on about psycho the stafford and he was a good stafford I'm not arguing that .it's the most famous stafford in history so why hasent there been another dog like psycho in all these years there has been some close. people breed and breed his bloodline if there is such a thing left but they dont seem to breed a dog like pyscho dont people want staffords like pyscho why did the breeder of physco bred a proper stafford and not many people in all these years cant do the same

 

I have always admired pyscho line too and wonder why myself.

You're right about the Irish doing more with Stafford's.

 

I only saw Psycho on tape, but he appeared a good little dog.. I saw Moonshine, Saab and a few others that was said to be off Psycho, not sure whether they were his equal? since not knowledgeable on Staffords.

I remember a British/West Indian boxer called Dennis Andres, watched him lose his World Light Heavyweight title v's Thomas Hearns.. Game as canon ball, but totally outclassed and a bad loss.. Hearns trainer (Emanuel Steward) surely saw the rough diamond Dennis Andres was, took him back to the Kronk Gym and within a year Dennis Andres was World Champion again!

Subject to fundamental qualities already being there, sometimes it takes the eye/skill of a great trainer to get the best from a dog.. My point is Psycho's owner was a class dogman, made Psycho a legend, then passed the torch to others, if they couldn't produce more dogs like Psycho, I'd say responsibility probably lies with them.

 

I'd say if you're still chasing Psycho then you're a psycho.
Wasn't Duke a better box dog? Not sure about reproducing though?

 

The Man who bred PSYCHO , bred many good dogs ,,he was a hunting man kept terriers and a pack of working hounds ( Harriers, I think ) but he bred some of SBT that went to USA to Joe Orday , he owned a famous working SBT call Geronimo ..and bred many good work / trials SBTs ..

Grand champion Duke a fucking monster from what I have read. That is one impressive staff. Sad that he got killed because of a crazy kennel fight. I bet he took many many with him.
