I just wanted to say that all blue pits are not 100lb fat hippos, I have a blue and white brindle . I want her to lean up alittle but she's not fat at all, I just started walking them 5 days aweek for 2 to 4 miles aday and working the spring pole everyday for 15 mins, they also run around the yard for acouple of hrs aday. Here's a pic of her tell me what u think?

Everyone of these special blue dogs threads end up in a flame war.....the gallery is there for a reason (nothing against you or your dog)

    Did you dock her tail?

She's real nice. It's very true that all blues are not 100lb hippos...the thing is that people who like those hippos post them on the internet and don't post the lean ones because it's not their style. Instead they sell them to someone who does like them and they are rarely seen. I hope you get some titles on that girl, so people can get off the Blue's backs! Besides, hippos come in all colors.

This type of thread has no use to this forum. Everybody's glad you love your blue dog ,but why waste space on the forum. Just use the gallary. I'm not trying to be rude but this same type of thread has been put up alot. This type of forum always starts arguments. I know all blue dogs are not hippos. Even if they are not bred for size most are still bred for color. Very few are bred for performance.

Hey Bullyboi...apparently you're not safe in your own gallery either. I posted my dog and have over 100 negative remarks on him. I never said he was an APBT or that anyone had to like him as anything else. I would have put him on a thread if I wanted opinions on him. I do agree that a thread like this shouldn't have even started because of previous happenings. It's a known fact that blue's and anything not pit enough aren't welcome on this site. Though that should not apply to galleries, it still does. Someone should LOCK this thread.

I agree...all of these end up in flames, people upset, hurt, or cut off at the knees...the gallery is there...show off your dog in a thread..but the whole "BLUE DOG ISNT FAT" thing is getting old...fast

You think the breeder docked the tails b/c they might have been curly or fluffy? Have you met your dog's parents?

A lot of breeder's get the dueclaws removed....i also have known breeders to dock pits tails so that the dog can't be fought...the tail is very important to the breed...keeps them balanced

LOCK IT....LOCK IT...LOCK IT...ALL THOSE WHO KNOW THEY CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE AND KNOW THIS THING IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT WORLD WAR III...TIE YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK OR TURN OFF YOUR PC IF YOU ARE TEMPTED!THIS IS GOING TO TURN INTO A 23,456 REPLY THREAD IF SOMEONE DOESN'T LOCK IT.

LOL...THAT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY FUNNY ROD...AND FOR REAL NOT BEIN FUNNY BUT WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU'VE SEEN A PIT WITH D-CLAWS?

Yeah..okay. So you're saying that without a tail a dog cannot balance? I've owned a couple dogs without tails and i've got to say that makes about as much sense and the "locking jaw" myth.

everyday. not rear dew claws, but the front ones have been argued to be more than vestigial(sp!).

i've always been told that...i was not being mean..only stating something that I have been told about the breed...most dogs do tend to be a lil' off balance if they usually have a tail and its taken off....idk who spit in your cherrios..but i was just making a statement

I spit in my own cheerios, thank you very much.

"most dogs do tend to be a lil' off balance if they usually have a tail and its taken off." Another scientific fact?

Oh No! could someone please close this thread? This is like the 100th "Not all Blue's are hippos" thread. These kinds of threads strike nerves with people here. There are plenty of posts on conditioning and exercise FLPits. You can try looking in Dog Shows under conditioning and in Dog Discussion under Health.

i think she didn't want me to show her thats why she cut the tail because i got her for a really good deal for her
