Tick Control Question...

So I am trying to plan ahead for next spring / summer and am wondering what exactly what I can put around my kennel area for TICKS and whatnot .

Basically I live in the woods and the area that my kennel will be has a HIGH potential of being loaded with ticks.

I don't want to put something down that will hurt my dog. Are there any safe products that I can use ?

I plan on doing whatever needs to be done, EARLY in the season before it has a chance to get bad.

    THANKS

Why waste your money on crap that works for 3 hours?
YOu might as well go to wal-mart and buy flea and tick meds if you want to toss your money away.
    Get Frontline or k9 advantix.
Forget about trying to flea a tick proof your yard thats like pissing in the wind

I agree with Brents... I would go with Frontline... I use that on all my dogs and it works GREAT ;) . Lasts for a while too...

I agree that is some good stuff I use it to, been for a while. If you live in woods like you say this is a must becouse not only dose it kill ticks and fles it also kills skitters to. befor I was useing it my dog would get bites on him that would welp up and stay for weaks. The ticks was as bad seem like ever day 4 and 5 would be on him. But after k9 advantix haven't seen on sign of anyone of those little varments. I would very highly recommend it and good luck.
