How many of you like to fish. We fish a lot. We go after Crappy and Striped Bass. I know fishermen or women don't like to talk about their spots, but if any of you want to share places to catch, that's cool. We fish on the Saluda River near Greenwood, SC. This is a few of the many pics we have.

Big saltwater fisherman...since I'm from Guam. Although I have done my share of freshwater fishing when I was staying state side (catfish, trout, large mouth bass, blue gills.)

Crappy is what we go for mostly. Here in Pa we go to Core Creek Park right outside of philly on Route 1. Trout is good also but for some reason I like the taste of catfish better than trout. Most of the time when I go for Trout I always end up getting catfish :D!

for Crappy, I use jigs and minnows
Trout, I use power bait, meal worms, and sometimes corn (sometimes I get catfish)

no sh*t thats my spot homie, i've been going to core creek for years man, i take my nephew there to catch as many trout as he can handle opening day, corn is the best for them there. I've caught some pretty good size catfish out of that lake, i think the biggest was a 15 pound channel, i've also caught a 30 pound carp and some pretty nice size bass too. Yo man we're gonna have to go fish sometime soon

I've been fishing my whole life too. Thats just about the only thing my Dad ever tought me. That and how to camp. I live in the Fishing mekka of the world so it's 2nd nature to me. Salt water is where its at though. They make this lure called a "Gotcha" plug that KILLS the Spanish Makeral and blue fish off of the Jax Beach Pier. I filled a cooler up many of days with those little things. Boi, one of these days you're gonna have to make a trip down here. I don't know if you'd want to go home. :)

lol i feel ya, i fished down in FL a few years ago on a vacation, caught a few nice size mahi mahi. We aint got it that bad up here, got some huge musky and pike which i think are by far the hardest fighting freshwater fish.

I've gotten deep into the sport since I started last year. I fish off of a railroad bridge that sit above open water with nothing to get snagged on since I dont have a boat. I'm hoping this year with all the new goodies I got that I get something bigger. I have yet to catch anything over 5lbs but I used only nightcrawlers and fished off the banks. This year, I got a new spot, and new gear.

I always wanted to go ocean fishing but I guess I just watch too many movies and afraid of OPEN WATER! One of these days I'll give it a try.

Salt water fishing is the shizz. Those fish are 10xs faster than freshwater fish. It feels like hooking a schoolbus when you get a biggun. ;)

i'm bout to start doing some fishing, it's bout time for the white perch "crappie to some" to start bedding up. go catch me a few messes of slabs. i remember the first time i went white perch fishing we caught 80something keepers and we caught over a hundred. in bout 30 minutes. between 3 of us. had to run to the bait shop to get more minnows. turkey season coming up, so we can't hog hunt because you can't run dogs during turkey season. river is up right now, i would go put out some lines but i got class monday-thursday for the next 10 weeks or so. and try to catch me some tabbys and blue cats. may try that this weekend if i can get out of work lol. i love bluegill/bream fishing, but when you catch em it aint much there to eat. i love when it gets time to do some topwater bass fishing. catch many a large mouth on them topwaters.

My Father was a fisherman and a pilot and it was easy for me to fall in love with fishing and flying. I taught it to my girls and they have in turn taught it to their boys. It's always been a big part of our lives. I have done the deep sea thing for red snapper and fished most lakes in the south for crappy, catfish and bluegill. Now we fish the rivers for the big rock fish. I have never been trout fishing though but want to. I hear NC is good for that. Hubby catches a lot of the rock fish on top water. I use a fluke mostly, just have to keep it moving in the current so you don't hang on the bottom. Those big rocks are hell. When I first started, he would put a big float about three feet up the line so I couldn't get hung on the bottom, now i have graduated to just the fluke or bucktail and do pretty good.

I love to fish, been fishing as long as I can remember, hunting too. Here in Va. we have tons of places to fish. I fish the ocean, Chesapeake Bay, and the James river. Some freshwater too. We catch tuna, mahi, wahoo, rock fish, and the ocassional billfish on the ocean. In the bay and river we catch flounder, rockfish, tataug, drum(red and black),bluefish, trout, and all kinds of smaller fish. so needless to say we do our fair share of puttn lines in the water.

Mississippi river right here, otherwise in Iowa you only got lakes to fish in.... and on the west border you got the Missouri River, only state with 2 complete east and west river borders....might as well use em'....mostly bass catfish of ALL kinds and crappie, up more north in MN and WI you get your pike walleye and river trout in tribs all over that come off the main river.......lots of crap fish too that I dont eat....... like sheephead or perch or whatever, I eat blue gill, bass and small catfish, usually unless I am fishing for something up north then its trout pike and or walleye....I just like fishing..... even if I aint eating it and caught Alligator gars and dogfish all day if my boys was having fun Ill sit out and sip coors allday and bbq away and camp out all weekend...its fun. I like catching cats most though I love fried catfish if their young and clean...... and Mississippi crawfishin is legendary boil up about 100 of them bastards and you got a meal...some r as big as a small lobster and almost as good...

My daughter in the pic I started this thread with now lives in Guam. Her husband is Navy and I have to add that he just made Officer today, Whoo hoo. But, they bought a boat and have been going out. She loves tha Mahi Mahi. Said they cooked some last night and it was the best fish she had ever eaten. They also catch some other stuff, but I forgot, maybe Tuna.
