One week ago today...RIP Colonel Beauregard

    Beau came into my life on July 18, 2003. He was seven years old and had been left at the shelter by the only owner he had ever known. Luckily, rescue took him and I later found him on Petfinder-instantly in love with his story and picture.

    He came to me from WV and was my soul mate...I loved him more than I have ever loved anything in my life. He turned thirteen years old last month, and had been slowly but steadily slowing down the last few months...over the last month his hips all but gave out on him, and he was content to watch everyone and be the old man of the house.

    I knew the time was coming to let him go, and he left this world on Friday, March 13, 2009. He put up a good fight and he will never be forgotten...always in my heart...we will always miss you, Beau.

    Rest in peace my sweet boy, you will never be in pain again.
