As I drive from town to town I should take pictures of the dogs I see , Each day I see Pit bull dogs some appear Pure APBT, but for each Pure one I see I will easily see 20 that are on the verge if not clearly mutt PB it seems to me its almost like who does not have a PB type already . This brings to mind a twist of a quote from Carl Semantic the Author of The World of Fighting Dogs (reference the SBT ) “wile the SPT is too small to be considered a true guard dog its incredible jaw strength and daring Make him more then just an alarm dog” Please Note : Carl Semantic made only small reference points of fighting dogs used as guard dogs
So people I am starting to see that yes there are tons of PB mixes out there but these dogs are more then just mutts.

Dog on the street series July 16 - These dogs seemed a little untrustworthy and kept me at bay, the owner said they are not that friendly, clearly they were not waging tails friendly to any one, I had a small conversation with lots of dog barking interference I gave them 2 sample bags of EVO red from a distance, good catch !.
Very important thing here is how adamant the owner was as to both of these barking and a bit menacing dogs being Pit Bull dogs. That was the story and she was sticking to it.

I know what top PB’s look like and proper personality also, but out in the world
lots of PB type dogs and unregistered PB's represent the Pit bull (dare I say APBT) breed, like it or not.
So I figure lets take a look at some as I casually meet them in my travels I ‘d like to see some other members join in.

While it is a bit challenging to ascertain, there is a good point to this - that is that one of the big problems right now is that there are SO MANY pit mix mutts out there that misrepresent the breed because as we know if it is even slightly part pit it will be called a pit bull. I see lots of bad unstable dogs at my local shelter that are labeled pit bulls or pit bull mixes, a few are, but most aren't at all or very little, but it is pretty rare to see a bad purebred APBT there. Fortunately, there seem to have been less pure APBT there in the past year(although in the downtown StL shelters there are still tons of them). The point is, if there were less pit mix mutts("Mitts"? "Putts"?), the breed would benefit.

I am trying some thing new so here goes. wile I was painting a house I saw a guy walking 2 dogs ,I kind of thought they were PB mix’s I say hello and like most of us APBT lovers know in short order you make a buddy. After some dog talk I had a hard time telling if they were true APBT’s his dogs were very friendly with that yearning push to be friendly to people even if they knock you down , I got to say these unassuming dogs are so strong, every inch of there being is power, they jumped up to say hi to me. It was like wow, such power! from 2 unassuming looking dogs, The owner who is strong has a hard time holding them tells me his male dog pulled a car wile in a harness and he has papers for him Female has no papers but he knows her background . I realize how twisted ones eye can become and how one forgets that many a PB are not large dogs with gigantic heads, some look a bit like mutts. Maybe I have not been around enough other breeds but there is an unmistakable power that is true Pit Bull but maybe that’s my favoritism.

That's very true. The city of FW reported that they had a like 10 or 15 bites in a anual report from a pit bull. Bites that were reported that fell under pitbull mix 250. This is a huge problem for the breed and it does set it at a disadvantage when collecting data.

honestly these animals should fall under mix alone, if one can not clearly define and identify a speciffic breed.

The problem of misidentification is well known and isn't new, but the new issue is that there are now so many more bully type mixes to be misidentified. ABs, mastiffs, and all of the other usual suspects have always been confused, but I swear I see more potential pit mixes now than ever before.

This is were denial has to end ,yes a true multi generation APBT is a superior dog with people and in my opinion kids also, a pit mix can likely be less stable depending on the other half.
Lets jump to a scenario, if you take a GSD and mate it to a Poodle you will see the poodle genetics and people will discuss the curly hair but the substance of the GSD . Bla Bla , fact is when the owner of APBT's allowed there blood to get loose you have no choice but to end up owning it, no different then if a man has children with woman all about town, all those children are his and the Pit Mixes are ours , you may not want them but you pay alimony each time one bites some one, and the true APBT's get blamed

What should I say to that? I have 4 mixes and I love all of them, two are PB mutts.

Here a pic of my two PB mutts, not worthy of feeding

In my opinion, everybody should have the dog he wanna have. And not everybody needs or wanna have purebred APBTs, so what? It's everyone's own decision, what dog they would feed or not.

I wouldn't feed a manbiter, that is a cur in my opinion.

    Some more mixbreeds...
