I agree with big game too.

All those p's you are obsessed with the letter 'p':D but its all good you are a credit to those dogs, they look very good, and I cant believe the time [short time] its taken you to get Trulli into condition, you have my respect for that!

Maybe I'm slow but i'm missing the point to this thread. Everyone knows part of the problem is piss poor breedings and muts being called APBT (like the pics of the guy with the 2 dogs... look like muts to me) but they were good dogs you said so what ever. but papers don't mean shit..... i'm really missing the point ot this thread.

yes its a part of the problem, but its not the main part, in my opinion the main source is the dog handler. not the dog. the dog is only as good as its handler. just my two cents.

i have a mixbreed myself, he is a good dog though, he might look bit weird every now and then and he's bit psycho, i wouldnt want to miss him. i have a pure bred apbt, they're very different though.

From what i gather... the OP is posting pictures of dogs that he/she comes across in their area, that are so called "pit bulls". Not sure what is trying to be accomplished, since we already all know that anytime a dog bites someone/something, it is called a pit bull anyway :(, no matter what it looks like.

I guess what I am trying to show and it will take time as I don’t see dogs each day , is to kind of develop a countable data base so to speak of people walking there dogs that are APBT or part and document the small experience. I feel some thing is to be learned about these owners who in many ways have our breed by the balls so to speak.
Just some of the pictures I’ve taken show a few things like spiked collars or a harness that is a small indication of some kind of pride with the dog or wiliness to spend money on him , the condition of dog the look of the owner , The guy burning the $100 dollar bill
has a PB type dog but is he willing to take a c note and pick up a bag of EVO, it’s just a pic so I can’t say but when I meet people I will ask questions.

I know I’ve given this opinion and been told to get my head out of the 1800s but the original creation APBT had a foundation of game mix dogs in them. The pictures of WNK’s dog's are more then nice dogs , I kind of feel that any dog owned by a sporting person, can bring the best out of a dog, and 100% 75% 50% or even 25% PB blood can go a long way with the right owner.

The guy burning the c note represents an image of what is wrong with the rep of the apbt.
I dont know that guy and I have pre judged Him on that pic. its much like the ganster rap videos that portray and [use] pit bulls to portray a certain image. of course everyone knows all this but I would place a bet that those guys are probably in the majority of pit bull owners and IS what is wrong with the image of breed. this is why shelters and rescues a filled with pit bulls im kinda ranting here, but the image of that guy kinda pisses me off, I get judged to some degree becos of people like that because I own a pit bull.
no wonder the general public are scared. I have no idea what the answer is, what I do know is that our breed gets pushed further underground which suits the 'im a bad mofo' type of person cos it adds to their warped image of themselves. these guys encourage man biters [not all] but most, lets face it most of them have no idea about these dogs, they just like the way they look! ....rant over.:(

    Interesting thread.

This is part of the problem. Those dogs do not look like APBTs to me. When one of them bites somebody, the lady is going to tell everybody that those dogs are "pit bulls" and there will be another negative mark against the breed. :(

When I approached this owner he had a bit of suspicion at first, as to why I wanted a few pics but he was happy to help out when I told him why. He said it’s sad cause when I walk my dogs all people walk to the other side of the road but my dogs are so friendly
My dogs are great with kids and I trust them fully he went on to say .
In this picture we have a white dog, a Brindle and a Rot Pit mix the owner tells me White dog is ½ APBT ¼ Neo ¼ Cain Corso
She was a very sweet dog; the brown brindle also very sweet is half APBT dog and the white dog , the Rot Pit mix was the nicest of all . It’s nice to see that even when you have some dogs that the public takes as APBT the owner is proud to tell of the mix heritage and also raise them in such a way that they love people which I think is natural for the bully breeds.
On the subject of food he fed all his dogs Escanaba as pups but now that they are older and money is tight he feeds them Gravy Train and some wet, his dogs have nice coats and are calm, happy dogs. He always takes them for long walks, so goes to show food is not the full reason of healthy happy dogs, lots of love and long walks goes a long way.

I remember reading some time ago the creation of certain dog breeds was the sneak breading of the rich mans dogs the hired help were watching over (careing for) for the day. They would breed them to there mix females, in a way we still have that when we have money scarce people with dogs from APBT Cain Corso Neo Rots and so on available to the general public for a $100 bucks or so I guess it’s the poor mans Pit Bull . Who can say they aint real, not I.

A trip to <ST1:p<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]Lancaster </st1:City></ST1:pI met this dog, sweet and love by her owner
She told me of her dogs somewhat DA personality and respected it, She received her dog from some one who could not keep her but she was still a pup , I could see wile she liked talking about her dog she avoided useing the word Pit Bull she would only refer to her dog as a DOG.

I just look at the guy burning the 100.He's an idiot trying to portray an image of what he'd like to be but probably ain't.I seen the rathole he was most likely living in and if he was all he acts like he was he'd have a better place.I imagine he snapped the pic and snuffed it out immediatly afterward. You can probably still spend one with a burnt corner. He probably thought the pic looked cool on his Myspace page,LOL
