The dog thievery on "The Pit Boss"

I have seen many ads prmoting this show on Animal Channel. Suppoedly this fellow "Shorty" Rossi runs an APBT rescue & in one of the promos for the show it shows him & his cronies stealing a dog. He actually SAYS "Get the bolt cutters, we're going to steal this dog right now." Then to shows them coming from the homeowner's backyard taking off with a pretty good looking AmBully. Whaaaaaat? Stealing someone's dog on national TV? Why is this man not back in jail?? You only get a glimpse of the dog since they are running with it, but from the quick look you get of it, the dog looks healthy & well fed. There may be more to it, but I guess we'll have to watch the show to find out. But last I heard stealing personal property was a criminal offense. So what's up w/ this?? Anyone plan on watching??

At first I wasn't going to watch b/c dog thieves make me want to puke. But I may just watch to see the whole story behind it. But if it turns out the dog DIDN'T need rescuing & they just *thought* it did, is anyone going to write AP about this?? Is anyone going to write AP anyway?? After all if the dog was really in distress, shouldn't he have called AC instead of committing a crime by stealing the dog & probably worrying the owner half to death (providing they really cared about the dog)?? And what recourse does the home owner have since this theft was not only caught on tape but will be broadcast on national TV?

This seems like a real questionable crap pile all the way around if you ask me.

EDIT: Yes, It's going to be on Animal Planet soon. The program is called "The Pit Boss."

Yes, I was watching the TV yesterday with my 12 year old son and even he noticed that Shorty was stealing someones dog. I told my son that if I was to catch him stealing my dog I would shoot or kick him in his short ass. I can't stand a dog thief.

Me either!! I know it's not right for me to say, so forgive me for saying so, but IMO dog thieves deserve to be gut shot. To include the dwarf ones. I wonder if the owner of the dog will see if & take any recourse? I'd try I'd sue him for every red cent he wished he had!! The house looked nice & the dog appeared well kept (from the glimpse you see of it anyway). I guess we'll see if the dog really was in distress when they air the show.

I am going to watch it just so see what it's about. Most "pit bull" rescue shows are bullshit anyway.
Allot of "rescues" think that if a dog is being chained outside it needs rescuing. Id be pissed if I chained one of my dogs up outside and it got "rescued" by one of these organizations..

I also noticed that in the promo. I wish those little MoFo's would try and steal my dog. I bet that's not even the first episode. Animal Planet's doing what they paid all that money to do, and that's to get us to tune in. The editors knew what they were doing when they created that piece and put it on TV.

LMAO. Shorty Rossi, the midget thief. I think we all thought the same things when we 1st saw the promo commercial; "here we go anain with ANOTHER pitbull rescue show", then, "WTF? Did he just steal a dog?" Damn media! 1st they say that pitbulls are an evil breed of dog, then they turn right back around, and give the uneducated
Public the impression that its ok to steal one of these evil dogs. Lmao. What else is next?!!!

I don't care or ANY KIND OF THEIF. As I have said before, theives should have at least one hand cut off and be branded on the forehead "THIEF." Rapists should have their walnuts and sausage cut off, just leaviing a "urine hole" behind and be branded as such. Murders and pediphiles should be used for organ donars. Save our tax dollars or put them into something that helps us. Let the parasites care of themselves or die.

I can't stand a damn thief. I've had it done to me my beautiful little red nose was stolen right out of my back yard. I tell you what if I woulda caught them oh man woulda been blood and guts everywhere I don't play that!!!!

from what i saw that dog looked very well taken care of. The glimpse of the property looked very clean also.

i hate dog thieves. I had my rottie stolen in december 2007...he is in auburn some place..only rottie in auburn with 1 eye.
