  1. alright I've posted about rihanna's issues with being left alone, I've had her since december 11. Nothing is improving she is getting worse when left alone. since she ate the crate, we tried a room, she destroyed it, cracked window everything(not fun when you are renting), so we tethered her to leg of couch, she moved teh couch clear across the room. and went potty, she does that every time we leave.

Now I've fostered/taken in unwanted pit bulls, they've been confident animals, never scared, nor skittish or head shy.

Rihanna's skittish sometimes, yet she grows balls when there is another female dog around:confused: so i dont know if thats out of aggression or fear maybe both.

I cant handle this crap when i leave and i come back to a destroyed house. what would you guys do?

i've tried everything thats been suggested. she has no interest in a kong, nothing when we leave, she just thinks about getting to the door or trying to go through the window.

    its really sad.

the only thing she has going for her is she is great with the kids and the cats and people.

ive even talked to my vet he wants to tranq. her when we leave so she doesnt hurt herself.

Im just so damn frustrated I needed to vent and see what other people think.

Get a HEAVY DUTY cage to put her in when you leave that simple !! & dog agression is normal ! welcome the world of pitbulls.

  3. i know the aggression is normal that i can deal with. I actually borrowed a metal crate from someone who used it for mastiff and rihanna bloodied herself up in a panic trying to get out.

I cant wait to move. then if she is goign to carry on like a jack ass, i dont have to worry about stupid downstairs neighbors.

This is what the last crate eating little bastard I had got penned up in, he went through 2 plastic crates, 2 metal crates and then I finally lost it and bought that one... no chance in hell they are busting outta that one.

  6. Well if it's that big of a problem you may have to bring in a profession behaviorist.

sounds like your un-able to controll that animal , i would have her spayed/fixed & find her a good home , some dogs are just so outa-controll some cant handell them , if she that much of a problem then do like i say have her fixed & find her a good home :o

  9. can you muzzle a dog while she is in a crate? since she tries to eat through the wire?

  10. i like that there'd be no way in hell she could eat that crate! I gotta get me one of those.

i have before , & make sure u have a good quality muzzle, but dont think i would leave her un checked for a long period of time with it on ...as in leaving her all day in crate with it on, only if i was home , but mam if she that outa controll ...i realy would have her fixed & given away ....some dogs are just like that !! i have had 2-3 like that & i had to get them nutured & found them good holmes ...but also make sure u tell the people how the dogs acts ...be very selective when finding it a new home ....after its spayded/fixed/nutered

  12. she is spayed. She only gets like that when we leave, when we are home, she is listening to my commands, listens while on a leash. She just gets a tad bit nutty when we leave. granted Im a stay at home mom but not for much longer. Im hoping to start working again real soon. My fiance would be home but she still wants me.

  13. I should leave my vid recorder on so i can see exactly what she does. she has dragged the couch almost to the stair way, i could always use her to move the furniture around lol. Im trying to find the humor in this. cause if i dont laugh im going to just be irked all the time. Im willing to do anything to keep her. :o

your dog has heavy seperation anixety, i would suggest putting her in a dog daycare so she has human interaction while your at work.

it hasnt even been 30 days, some dogs take a bit longer to settle in.
you had stated before that you had found a trainer to work with- have you started that yet?
sounds like seperation anxiety- have you tried things like:
    a. putting a sheet over her crate
    b. leaving a radio or TV on for her

  16. if you wanna know what i have been doign with her so far check this out
    rihannasblog's blog

i'm keeping a blog of the progress we make and what i have tried to do with her.

i'm willing to do anything to help her...

since i wont let her on teh couch..she is inside my son's play tunnel
