quick question, if you where thinking of getting a new pup what would you choose a male or a female and why.

What's your preferred choice. (and breeding it in the future is not the issue) just trying to know what you all like best!

    Thanks.

well I own a female now but I would definitely want a male next just to have one of each and to see how they differ. From the top of my head and since I can't clearly clarify whether or not this is true, males might be a bit more independent and females usually bring you the size difference but once again I wouldn't exactly know this first hand it is what I can offer until I do raise a male just a wild guess ;)

P.S. I did want a male to begin with but Zoey was a surprise so don't tell her haha :p

females form a better bond with owners and are better family dogs. depending what your goals are for the dog is probably the right answer

  6. I prefer male dogs just a preferance. I like my females too for sure but my 'baby' of the yard is a male hehe

I prefer bitches. Bond easier and tend to be smaller and all the ones I've hard work harder. I've just always preferred them.

I love the bitches and they love me back. They do seem to form a closer bond and they are more pationate about there work . whatever it is.

i think you bond the most with what you prefer the most, that whole "female bond is better" thing i always thought was a crock, i never bonded well with females.

females just my observation , they seem to be smarter more loyal and not as stubborn.... thatsjust my opnion.. ihave 2 females and 3 males.. i would pick a femnale over a male that had same drive.... i do notice that female seem to have a bit more heart

I like females, always had more females than males. I think they are more tolerant of other dogs than males are. Don't get me wrong its females that will try to rip into anything, i've had more of them than anything lol but i've also had more females that could be around other dogs than i have had males that could do the same thing and still be about business.
