They dont want us to hold a weight pull at our fun show!!

We are having an all breed weight pull! The News people wanted an interview about the show they said. But now seems all they are interested in is the weight pull!! I am sure someone call the HS. KRBC NEWS has a poll now SHOULD WEIGHT PULLING BE BAN!! I am asking the fraternity to back us up! VOTE NO!!! Middle of the page!! Thanks!!

The banning of weight pull isn't new. Some people in the UK have been trying to get it banned for years. Even in my area I have had a vet tech who also has been giving me flak for many years for pulling my dogs. She never says she wants a ban on it, but never fails to tell me how "cruel" it is & how "mean" I am for "making your dogs pull those weights." :rolleyes:

Is there a way to let them know that weight pull is an all breed activity in many venues? APA, UKC, and IWPA are for any breed or mixed breed.

Thank everyone for the help!! And backing us up!! I think it back fired on whoever was complaining about it! We have had more positive calls in the last 2 day than we had in 2 weeks!! Thanks again!!

When I read the article, it was less biased than I expected. I thought it would have a very negative slant, and it seemed more to just say that some people questioned the sport.

 

why would they want to even think about banning it? isnt it a positive outlet for the dogs?i would love to know their reasoning about this one ::rolls eyes::
