Breeding 101

not neccessarily just because the dog is not a good show dog does not mean he is not a good candidate for a pet to a responsible person that you are close to like a friend or family member who knows how to care for these dogs. the dog can still be an intelligent, athletic pet

 

someone that knows what they have does'nt need papers from a registery . the best dogs that were out there had hand writen papers .

 

Just breed for your own needs what ever the method used

The whole culls for pets idea isnt a very bright one

They are culls for a reason the main one isnt only performance

 

Or when all else fails breed a 9 month old puppy because somebody was dumb enough to pay you to do it.

Well, the day you own a dog half as good as my best one, maybe you would want to breed to a 9 month old pup of mine too. just and FYI that pup is doing very, very well right now too. So, maybe that guy was smarter then you thought, lol!

 

U must start from a solid foundation in order to get good dogs! But, everyone has there own thoughts on what is a GOOD FOUNDATION! Gameness should ALWAYS b the first trait 2 breed for! If ur not,evrything else is falling away from what this breed of dog is known 4! The Best way 2 do it is"USE WHAT U BREED"! And if someone what's some of ur stock, sell them the animal, but not the papers until they show well with that animal. That should calm down a lot of b.s....also don't b kennel blind and think u have it all when u have nothin at all close to a game animal! AND stay away from those who do not use there stock! Good dogs are were u find them! And they can be found in ur own backyard if u just take ur time, be pataint, and develop an eye on what I GOOD ANIMAL IS instead of a hard mouth animal that cur out in 10!..............yis..........tknls:cool:

 

How is a 9 month old puppy offered or recognized for stud use on your yard .....? If someone wanted to breed to a young dog I had the logical thing would be to share with them where they could stud to similar blood of a proven producer. Of course this strategy doesn't doesn't line the picket of the pedipitstud owner...but it does help the breed as a whole.... really 9 months and the guy collected a stud fee.....how much would you charge a guy to breed to a puppy. It plainly states he charged....wonder what the fee was....... lolololol.

WD, I think I'll give you a rest, and give them someone else to give me a lesson on "BREEDING 101". I am going tomorrow and the next couple of days and make this breeding. The female is 11 months & the male is a proven 3 year old. My last name is Edwards so start clicking back and you will see that I know these dogs since the early 80's.

why dont ye take your best down to mexico bring your cam and post the vid on smart kennels site , i've read a lot of the shite you post and IMO thats all you have is shit, so what if your ped look nice or your dog can pull massive weigth , stone cold curs can pull weight . theres only one way to see if your best is better than someone else's and its nothing to do with paper:mad:

LMAO, it's funny you should say that. There is a thread about a famous Gr.Ch. that was sold recently on this board. Just to say my thoughts. I wasn't very impressed with one of his littermate sisters. She just wasn't pet quality enough for me.
