  1. Im looking to breed my pit bull but she is a red nose and her mate is a blue nose. They are both very nice and strong pits, but im wondering if the mixture would somehow effect the pups in any way. Im in no way a bad person to disown or reject a pup if it does not meet standards but as anyone who breeds I want to ensure the best outcome. If this is not a good idea please let me know or give me some suggestions. thanks

Those aren't bloodlines, it seems you have 0 clue on what dog breed you own. For the sake of your dogs, their possible offspring fix both dogs and get that thought out of your head. go to petfinder.org and put in pit bull and your zip code and you can see thousands of them without a home. Don't add to the population in the shelters simply because you want to experiment, leave that to the professionals please.

Everybodys a breeder now a days. If you had any sence you'd fix both dogs. The world is filled with sub par dogs as is.

No it will not be a good out come. As said before you obviously don't know what your doing. If you already did the breeding, do yourself and us all a favor. Get a 5 gallon bucket full of water and a lid!!

The two previous responces have all the info you require. If you happen to live in Atlanta, go by the Fulton Co. Animal shelter and pick out a dog...there are plenty of "pits" there that could use a good home.

  6. Ever see one of them people sitting at wal mart in the parking lot with a cardboard sign pitz for sale?

I wont condone or condemn what breeding you want to do , as the choice is yours to make, BUT if you do a breeding make sure are willing to be 100% responsible for that breeding. Ask your self this, why am I doing this breeding?. Do I have basic knowledge of whelping pups? How many pups am I going to keep? What will I do with the rest of the pups I cant keep? Some people dont realize that pups cost money and time to raise, vaccinations/wormers etc....can add up to a lot of money depending on the size of the litter.

P.S This is Nice Saiy speaking, as mean Saiy would of said Cull them LOL.

Fix the dogs and leave dog breeding to the guys who 1.) know what they are doing and 2.) are breeding for breed improvement. Just because your dog has a certain color nose or coat color doesn't make it breeding worthy. Just because you love you're dog and it seems like a nice pet doesn't make it a great representation of the breed that should be reproducing pups. Even if they have pedigree's it still doesn't make them worthy of being bred. There is a great deal that goes into breeding understanding genetics and how they will affect your dogs and the offspring is also very important. If you are not breeding to produce dogs better than the dogs in you're dogs pedigree than you are just producing more trash. Please do not breed if you want more dogs seek out reputable breeders who have been breeding great dogs for a very long time.
