By posting next year show date early, there shouldn't be any mix up again next year like we all did this year and so everyone should be able to make different shows. :)
I thought by signing the contract last Feb. was good enough but I guess it wasn't......

That is a great Idea. I hope everyone can plan them all on different weekends, so there would be more of a season round this way. As long as everyone knows...this is the first 2013 show I have marked on my calendar. :)

I plan on it no matter who plans anything again on the same day as we already have.
I giving notice on everything. I don't want no confusion how things are done.
I can't worry about what others might want to do.
I already informed my old friend Frank C. the President of Fox Valley the day for our show next year.
I asked him to pass it along to George and Julia.
I wasn't aware you had anything to do with any of the planning.
I didn't know you even an officer.
Thanks for letting me know you won't.

But anyway tell your friend to make sure he comes up and introduce himself. :)
In fact if you like, you can come along with your friend.
I haven't seen you since you came up and introduced yourself at Fox Valley a few years ago.

If your friend needs directions or needs to find me at the show,
I always carry my phone on me with the number 269-966-9636
I'll be more the happy to go out of my way to help him get there. as I would for anyone else....

P.S. Frank and I go back over 20 years and we had a long talk on costs and hosting shows.
We spoke about the cost of hosting shows with other registries. Nelson and I already researched those costs.
Frank asked about the cost of hosting a show like ours. :)
Man, the cost needs to come down for hosting shows.
The club members need to keep the bulk of the money...........JMO.

I've known Frank Calico for many years. I knew Sonny Sykes for many years. Frank was almost all Italian and Sonny was part. Since your last name isn't Sykes then your mother must have been Sonny's sister? I guess you forgot meeting me 2 years ago when I was with Sonny Don and Lil Jeff and Louie at the Fox Valley Show.
If you have black in you, it sure doesn't show because Sonny Don, Lil Jeff made you look like Casper the ghost.
You were as white as I am.

Maybe you forgot meeting me. I'm 6'3"/250 lbs. I was on the back side where we all were cooking out. Louie took 1st place in 5 and over males with Tabasco Kid a son of my dog Ceresco Kid.
    Louie is Pilipino.
You couldn't miss me, Lynn and I were the only 2 white people with about 20 black and other race of people.
I was driving that gray New Yorker.
Frank came over and talked to us.
This is the first time I ever heard Frank didn't care for black people.
As for in that state my old friends of Family Tradition, CCM Combine and all are still around.

BTW the Indiana Club was part of our Michiana club.
Like Terry Hamilton, Jeff Nere, Dave and Teresa Gibbet, ect.

As for the table, I will make it clear who has it, he tried selling it before and that is Plowboy who got it from Bert's wife.
Historically it would be nice to have but in all reality, it is out dated for top conditioning for real Pit Dogs.
Whom ever ends up with it, I hope they enjoy it as I did the mill I have from Joe Corvino.
BTW the mill wasn't all I got that was Joe's, I got all the pictures and pedigrees, ect. above his desk.
Many has already been seen in Stratton's books.

If Carmen wants them back, I will give them to him.
Fun to have but much is obsolete and outdate information of not much purpose.
My equipment and data, I want to keep current and cutting edge technology.
As for historical stuff I have plenty of my own from ourselves of pedigrees/pictures of dogs we owned back in the 60's.

BTW if you get a chance, if you want a really great mill, Ray Trammell back in the early 80's had an add in the Gazette, treadmills for sale from OK. and they were exact copies but much updated style of Corvino thread mill.
I owned one of those too. 1, if not the best, mill I ever used.
    SWEEEEEEEEET!
I sent mine to AZ. to Bernardo to condition Gr. Ch. Chance, the son of Boudreaux' Maverick and Ch. Seagal.

Re: OFRNR First National Dog Show & Treadmill Race. 6-9-12

There is a lot of work needed to be done of the site for OFRNR.
When time allows I will be updating the website with the shows pictures.

Right now I am going through old pictures, information from letters, books and magazines for the Corvino interview. I hoping it is setup where not only Carmen is there but other family members so I can do it right and get more information and more history reference. I don't know how many of Joe's kids are still alive.

But since I am going through my old collection of things I am running over old pictures of OFRN dogs of some well known dogs who I think people thought they appeared differently.

As I ran across them, Lynn suggested that on the ofrnr.com site to start a picture gallery.
I thought about it and thought it was a good idea so people nowadays will know what the true appearance of the OFRN strain of the past and what they should look like today!

I have a lot of work to do. To many projects. In the future I will have to be separating myself from OFRNR involvements and stay more involved in my main interest of the kennel.

OFRNR and Ironline Kennels are 2 separate identities.
I don't have time to be involved with both. I try to help as much as I can with OFRNR but the day to day business will have to fall on the President.

I invested money into an idea and was welling to help get it off the ground.
In time it will no longer need my involvement and with new people getting involved it will have their own nuclease of people supporting it.

    I'm am overhauling the kennel.
I have publishing commitments I'm promised too.
And other personal things which don't allow me to stay as public as I have been.
I need to step back and take care of some projects.

I am no longer able to log in to the site to check them out. Me and Fancier..I know.. had a dis-agreement, and I may have said something stupid, and was taken off the roster. I really liked the site a lot too. To be honest - I am not sure what we dis-agreed on, and it was probably nothing too crazy.
Maybe if I told both of them I was sorry, the may concider me back?

Either way - I really love the Corvino History and can not wait until yall get that ready to go. Are you going to be having it boundd in a book?
And yes - You all have a torch to shine for the future keepers of Reds and a gallery would be really nice to see. It sounds like you need to Farm out some of that work! I'd help if there was anything I could do!

fancier user name isn't on the forum anymore neither as well as some of the others.
I wasn't aware you had any OFRN dogs or was interested in them.
I thought you knew why the user name was terminated.
    If not, email.

I don't know how large the interview will be when it is done. I don't know if it will be book size. It will be more for the purpose of retaining information in writing for others about the truth of the Life and Times of Joe Corvino, before it is lost forever.

I'm third generation to own this breed.
I have owned these dogs all my life and that is about 6 decades.
Over the years I have heard and read many stories told about other people I knew wasn't true.
i.e. Floyd Boudreaux, I remember what his cousin Steve told me over 40 years ago where Floyd's dogs came from. I address this in the Story of an Unknown Dogman about a year after Steve had passed away.
Sure it pissed off all the lairs who had been telling different BS.
But it is what it is, if they can't handle the truth, to bad.
Steve's stepson is still alive, the well known recording artist Brian Collins.

Well this is the same thing I have heard for many years about Joe Corvino.
I would have maybe address it in the Gazette or the real Sporting Dog Journal as I did with Floyd but I no longer register my dogs with ADBA or show dogs with them.
I no longer judge shows for them, I just judge my last show ever for any other registry when I judged the fun show in June. I did it as a favor and what did I get return?
Not even the courtesy of any of the club members showing up in attendance to our show.
Very few of their judges anymore have even owned the breed for 10 years.

As for SDJ, I cut that loose about a year after Jay bought it from Jack.
I didn't like how it was run, how he did business or the direction people involved were headed. Sporting magazines are a thing of the past and if you don't know what the current intent laws are or conspiracy laws or international laws, you are digging a hole for yourself.
It is sad to read BS like what I read about in Sonny's interview. What is sad is no one ever reads or comments on Tattoo Ted aka Pat Bodzianowski wrote in the following issue about Joe or his dog Cassius Clay that Devine ended up with.
I guess everyone never read it or they would have known that it wasn't Sonny who did the interview but Joe King.
When I was with Sonny, many will tell you, Sonny never tried to run that BS to me because he knew I knew the truth.
He knew I could pick up the phone and put him in touch with people like Pat and others. And for the record, Sonny was scared to death of Pat...
Same as Don was of Maurice. That reminds me, when ever something is posted about Don and Maurice of what Don said AFTER Maurice died, I don't ever recall reading what Pat Carver wrote in response to Don as well as Bobby Lemm and many others in Sporting Dog Journal...
It is all who you want to believe.
I guess I'm just one of them who knows the truth from the lies and jealously.

Maybe I should put together a small book of articles I have wrote over the years.
I'm getting tried of reading stories I wrote edited to death by others.

What is amazing is how people are now so highly regarded as knowledgeable dog people because of some book they wrote was published and sold to the public when they don't know which end to clip a lead on a pit dog.
Or the recognition someone gets for a magazine. Jack didn't own a pit dog the last 20 years of SDJ existence!

I bet the ones that did come had a blast though. I saw my first traeadmill race down at mid mo apbtc fun show, and I thought that was cool. I also found out that I need to get one, so I can compete, cause even though my dog looks ok for my standards, he needs some more tone for sure.

I understand that the experience levels have fell a bit, along with the turn outs. I wish I could have been around the good times. They are still possible. We need a spark that will unite us all for a good cause, reguardless of who keeps track of the papers.

I get you on the mags too. I get the gazette. No others though. I like how they put theirs together, and some good people still write articles often. Wish you wrote about yours in there. I have such a time navigating your site. ofrnr was good for me and about like this. Did not mess up as often as this one seems to for me.

Seems people cant let their pride go for dog sake.
How can I view some of the atticles / writings of the yesteryear?
Anyone want to come off some lit?

I know how stories change and people lie on other people and that is not how I roll at all.
People want to make money of others names and run them in the dirt.
This is why I admire talking with people like You and the Historian. I seek the truth about history of the breed and love to know it. I try to gain from every interaction with people I look up to, who have been here and know.

You should absolutely put together a book. Tell me who, in dogs, would not buy one?
I am still waiting on my wife to make my email brochure, to send to you. I think you will like the idea. We will also send some actual samples when we can. She cant keep good help at work and has been through all kinds of people that dont pan out, and she ends up taking on their work, again..lol bout the story of life, i tell her. I just gotta get what I can, while I can, and obtain it.

Most I believe had a good time.
I know I did and I hope others did as well.

Yes I remember when I judged a fun show in Detroit there was over 300 dogs for that 1 fun show.
When Ch. Gambler was winning his ribbons and trophies those 2 weekends are still 2 of the largest ever. Over 300 dogs at those shows.
I working on going through the library and collecting my articles, pictures and such.
It is just the article of "Quality of a Stud Dog" Dan didn't write that, I did.
Here is a bit information that has never been told,
when you see something that is D.M. it is me, when it was Dan, he had his name in it as "Dan".
    Dan didn't write articles.

Re: OFRNR First National Dog Show & Treadmill Race. 6-9-12

Yes - the time passes. Just a latin phrase, assosiated with my family that I like to use often.

I would love a day that three hundred dogs were at one place. I would call that a dream.
If there were that many dogs, there had to be thrice the people, and that would be cool to see that many folks gathered round some dogs.

Are all the writings on your page? I remember being on there a couple times. Have your APBT book list , so that I can track the good ones down someday, when I have money and time to do so.

Big D? or is that someone else? Iv met couple people that go by same things and its hard to keep straight sometimes. may not be a bad thing either.lol Still looking for that darn time machine so I can go back then.
