Often the Amber eyes will be confused with greenish colored eyes.

This thread is interesting. I've seen large dog's here in Aus with the green eyes. I don't think they are game bred. Way too large and have the mastiff look of a Dogue de Bordeaux to me. Seen smaller dogs with the eye color similar to the coat color or gold. Don't believe the stories that go with these dogs. BSL has ruined it here for these dogs. Think they are crossbred now.

  8. There are still plenty of game bred dogs in Australia mate. You just have to know the people that own them.

    Nice looking dog SVKNLS.
It would be hard to believe you Aussie. There are those that claim to be game without the fame. It is hard to believe their exaggerated stories. Met a fellow where I last lived offering me lots of "info" about his three game bred red nose dogs. They were all sitting in his car together good as gold. He directs my attention to one with a little scar on its muzzle, then says three hours. Sees he has my interest then says four and five for the next. Those two were unmarked.
Neighbour in a different state had a large one. Tough dog until my Bendalock Akita changed it's rearend.
Fellow in Sydney, so called breeder with "gamebred" dogs. Bred two hundred. Largest dog 125. Saw a bitch in his car asked its weight. 85 he tells me. Docile not gamebred. Lots of stories out there. Very few are factual. On the internet when it comes to Australia and OFRN I don't believe the stories. Bit too old and cynical now.
