Importing into UK from EU/Europe

Obviously I would have to get an AmStaff, because Pit bulls are illegal. But;

What do you guys do, collect from Eire and drive through?

Can it be straight imported?

 

So are Amstaffs, bright spark.

 

Go to your next local show,,or go to a shelter,,,,if ya know this is illegal why ask people how their/r/if they are doing some-thing illegal..........

 

I was asking about how people import dogs in general.

And Am Staffs are not illegal (so long as they're not dual registered)

 

There is a-lot of work in importing any dog/animals...vet clearence,worm shots'rabies shot,etc;,,pass-ports..(animal)..transport..what i'm saying to ya is some-times the grass is greener on your own-side of the garden.,ya can find what you want at local shows;;etc;etc;

pitbull "TYPE" is illegal, this includes amstaffs
disagree if u like , but I have personal experience , amstaffs canNOT travel via the U.K.

from a legal POV , you would have a VERY VERY hard time in a court of law if you actually had a genuine FCI reg amstaff confiscated in the U.K., even if you could get the dog reg as a rare breed with the U.K. kc

That's actually very true.

I thought there may be a way around that due to both Staffs and EBT's being a 'pit bull type' by that same definition.

I've spoken to someone now, and I've found a way I think. Although he has a different banned breed.
