May I ask why your looking for a bull x? Is there somthing your hunting that can't be taken with a normal lurcher? Especially if you don't want any DA doesn't sound to clever Imo...

CSK, The Boer Windhond or Steekhaar Windhond is used as an all purpose dog for racing, hunting and guard dog work. They are huge though. They will outrun a conventional Greyhound distance wise, they don't have the initial top end speed of a racing greyhound but the stamina for long distances has been bred into them.

I had a dog that I believe was a boxer/pit bull-type x sighthound (don't know which breed). He was a shelter dog, so I don't know his actual cross, but he had several boxer-like traits and the racy build of a sighthound. Approx 47lbs at 18months, 25'' at the shoulder. If I can find a photo I'll post it...
Anyhow he was an ''up for anything'' dog, but would lie on the couch all day if you didn't get to take him out. Fast as hell, loved to play tug of war, had some dog-aggression issues. Hardly barked at all. Bit hard though, unfortunately (left my jrt/corgi/sheltie mix with some pretty bad puncture wounds). Sadly, I didn't get to see how he turned out.

I liked the mix. Would like to get another someday if I can.

I'm more interested in learning bout how the conditioning of greyhounds compare.

  9. I own and hunt with bull x Grey's (in the UK) they can get a bit feisty around a kill but certainly not game.if the dogs to be used to hunt then the need to fight is very undesirable trate.around the house they can be very placid and loving hounds if socialised properly.in the field they can make a formidable hunter with a do or die attitude and will run through walls to get there kill.I'm bringing on a 50/50 pup now bred from a long line of bull greys and so far she has the makings of a good dog I'll try get some pics up

If you want to see bull xs work type lurcher v fox in youtube
Sorry about my first post on being on this thread I'll post in the new members forum when I have time
