Just let it be a pup and don't worry about size, muscle tone, or if it looks like a real deal pitbull.

I got a question regarding calcium needs of a puppy, I read from different sources some say calcium supplements should be given some say don't give. What are your guys opinion on calcium supplements?

I give the mother calcium suppliments while she is pregnant and nursing..I have never gave them to a puppy and never had a problem.I think if a puppy shows a lack of something then a suppliment prob is required..A good healthy puppy shouldnt need anything but plenty of a good quality feed ..imo.

There are several great brands of puppy food and opinions on every end of the spectrum. Feed the best you can that your budget allows, and of course your dog has to eat it for it to work

I agree with the above, just feed your pup well, stay current on vaccines and deworming, plenty of play time, and he/she will be fine! Good luck.

I would give small amount mixed in with normal feed.if ya slice it up in finger lenth strips..i would give 5/7 fingers...i sometimes pour boiling water over it jus to blanch it...ya don't have to give every-day,esp if pup is gen;ok...say 1/r/2 a week...heart is another one i use as a little xtra for the dog's...ps:liver can be very strong so make sure ya give a fibre source ie:a hand-full of all-bran,for example mixed in to meal..............

will do if that doesnt work i guess it just a waiting game

  18. I don't advise supplements for puppies or even young dogs. I prefer to allow them to grow naturally on a high quality dry kibble or raw-food diet. Supplements should be reserved for purpose-specific conditioning or recovering from health issues or trauma. That's my two cents on it.

    Feed it properly. Handwalk.
Genetics plays a role as well.
