When handwalking does the dog have to pull to get the full benefits or just walking at good pace good enough

Every dog is different. some pull..giving them advantage in the toning dept..but may wear down quicker. building endourance at different rates. depends on the outcome u ate after also..

what are you working towards also to be concidered.
After u get a routine down..your dog will be turning the corners before u do.

A good pace and dont ever think u can out walk ur dog even at a good pace it would not be quick enuff! But like some has posted drag chains work wonders and they dont have to be 10,000lbs! An nice weight and good pace very often and u will se see a change for the better a good feed will also go a long way! Peace and godbless

That would work also but try something light first as to get her used to towing something behind her as she may become spooked by wat shes towing also if u walk her pulling any thing it should be short depending on how heavy the object is that she is towing! Or use nothing for her to pull and just go for longer walks more then once a day!

  10. Thanks for the advice. How short a walk do you mean when they are dragging something?

Use whatever you like, but I find a chain the best....just personal preference.
