Heavy fella isn't he? Guessing in the mid to high 50lb range? Good looking none the less. I'll look up his ped in a few.

She is definitely merle.... I have one here, like that, that you can barely see it but its there. The eyes in your friends bitch give it away. She has the split eye color going on. Thats a merle thing.

I'm sure most people will disagree with me on it and without seeing the dogs in the bitch's ped, its hard to say for sure.... because merle is an incomplete dominant trait. It could have been hiding behind dogs if they are recessive red or hard to spot if they are sable liver and possibly brindle. I'm not saying the split eyes cant be from some cause other than merle but that combined with the patches in her fur make me pretty confident she is liver merle.

I've spent a lot of time reading up on color genetics because I'm a nerd I guess haha. Looked into merle a lot more after my roommate got this sable merle pup.

Nothing wrong with her as far as I can see. Hell the eyes are nothing uncommon in my RED BOY dogs. What will look strange is if you outcross her and get a black one with those eyes. That's actually common too but they look weird.
