    hows it going er body,
my thang is this i have a set of dogs that im trying to breed ...1 male and 2 bitches frm my 1st breedn and a half brother to them off my 2nd breedn...what im attempting is to lock in traits off the sire of both litter..i also have the sire of both litters all the dogs in question have different traits that i see coming frm the sire but not a full or better version of him...i knw im going to make some mistakes being this is my fisrt time try to breed a family of dogs...which way would u start out breeding father/daughter brother/sister half bro/ half sis...im thinking if i understood more on others princples on why to make the different kind of breedings it may give me some insight on things that im trying to do with my yard...

Well Slick you breed dogs that work to dogs that work.
If your goal is working dogs. Try more to line breed than inbreed so you won't breed yourself into a corner.
So if all that is out of the way I personally would decide on a "BASE" to start with. A certain dog , a cross of the 2 dogs or maybe a cross of two using a 3rd as a catalyst.
If I understand you right there are a total of 4.
    2 males & 2 females.
Well breed better female for the proven males, meaning breed both males to both females & take females that turn out to the one from other male in conjuction with 1/2 siblings on the same male. There is no one way to breed dogs.
Sometimes a 1/2 bros/sis may produce what you are looking for while a Daddy daughter work the next time. It's just like a boxing match. No one thing is the only thing to win the fight. You have to go with the flow of what turns out from a breeding.

But you do have all you need to establish your own family.
    Here's some examples:
1male Crossfire bred to 3 different bitches

That male Crossfire was bred based on a similar concept. 1 male Johnie Rockhead bred to 3 different Females

Crossfire consists of 3 Families. Hicks , Sorrells & Browns.
Big Fred also consist of 3 families Hicks , Poetic Justce, & Carters.
You can continue to line breed either dogs with existing families without having to cross or you can continue to outcross but the only thing you have to actually do & focus on is simple.

Breed the ones that work & don't breed the ones that don't work.
    Hope this helps.

You should breed the bro to the mother to the 1/2 bro to the 1/2 mother then breed the second cousin (first cousins will get you arrested in some states) but only if your sure that the father isn;t around and make sur about them being 17 --- 16 will get you twenty--- anybody seen my pain medicine???

Breed the sire a few more times, not the offspring.

If the pups aren't quite what you're looking for why inbreed? You said they have some but not all the traits you want. I say breed him a couple more times or find a dog that has what he is lacking and breed to that. Inbreeding isn't always the answer, especially if you have to ask questions. Personally I would only INBREED ON THE TRUTH WITH THE TRUTH. Meaning if I have ALL I want in a bulldog, I would rather breed him to something that has the same traits I want to keep. I would only inbreed if the pup/dog has EVERYTHING I want to continue producing, if possible
