The law says, you have the right to bear arms, use that to your advantage. As long as, that's all you do. Post a warning sign, where visable. Sometimes the cops, don't like when their time is wasted on dog matters. Have pictures ready & or, paperwork. That should be all you need for proof. Get this situation handled by, having it documented. If that fails, get a restraining order pronto. Good luck!

Did the cop mention owning APBTs near the loon....he better be careful they may come after his dogs! I really hope and pray that all goes well for you and your babies. Let this loon come to Texas and try that....We got a heeler that won't let anyone w/in our boundaries at all. You drive into our driveway he stands at your door and waits for you to open it...if he knows you he is getting in and wanting a ride...if he doesn't know you he makes you think twice about getting out. Most people think heeler...nothing to be scared of, but then they hear the American Bulldogs bark and get worried what else we let run loose on our place and leave! My roommie, before we got all the dogs and all us roommies living here, came home and left her car unlocked in the garage to come in and change. Some guy, that had been going to apartments in our town and coming in when he could tell it seemed to be a girl by herself and taking what he wanted, came here and knocked on the door, my roommie answered...he made offer like he was selling something, she said not interested and walked away. Thought nothing of it, we live in the country in a quite...mostly elderly neighborhood. The guy noticed the door wasn't locked and went to come in. The heeler met him at the door with the guys nuts in his mouth. The guy let go of the door and the heeler let go of the guy. He backed away and the heeler went to the room with my roomie. She called the police. They told her to close the garage and lock all doors and windows. She checked her car and noticed he stole her purse w/ the mortgage payment on our house in it. The cops did nothing, even threatened her dog, b/c one of the cops got a little vocal and the dog growled...did not move from his spot lying next to my roommate.

Noticed I didn't mention we DO NOT let any of our dogs except the heeler loose on our 3 acre property and he is only loose when we are home and he has to go potty. He fights with the american bulldogs so we can't put him in the backyard. If we let him out the front door he can access 3 sides of their pen, where as the backyard is only one side, but he is distracted by all the smells on the property and all th exploring.

Hey SFK. Would like to have some more info on the freeze branding. Sounds like what I need around here. Lot of THUGS who want to rip-off your dog. Idiots think that because its a pit, it will fight. They take them all the time.

Many people at my barn freeze brand their horses. If you have a white dog or a dog with any white a freeze brand won't show on the white hair. I have a horse that looks like a dalmation and freeze brands won't show well on him. I am considering some kind of mark on Jesse, b/c we will be moving back to houston from East Texas in about 6 months and I am a little leary of people in the city. Funny thing...grew up in the city and moved to small town in East Texas and lived here for 5 years and now I don't trust the city!! Had no thoughts one way or the other before I left the city!
