Hello everyone thought i would post something
regarding don mayfield and his dogs

today marks the 10th anniversary of his death so i thought I would post something.
Many people talk bad of don but i and many others learned so much from him. Don knew and understood things about dogs most people who spent their wholes lives around them didn't
I see a lot of people bad mouth the dogs too when they have never even laid eyes on a real bred mayfield dog

I see many people today that really have no idea of the impact he had on the breed lots of people take the word of dog dealers and peddlers as the truth when really it is anything but.

Don kept and was involved in dogs from 1958 right up until the mid to late 90s but was involved in teaching people about dogs and about life until the day he died.
He was a real people person who had time for anyone and would answer anything you asked him truthfully.

He believed in true breeding and lived by that and it really saddens me to see there is only a handful of his dogs left in the world today.
Don spent years writing and explaining to people the vaule of a true pedigree and family breeding.
Many uneducated fools dismissed this as his crazy ramblings but the fact is don mayfield was not the one who came up with the idea of family breeding Family breeding has been around thousands of years.
Don was simply a man who knew the importance of it and tried to help people keep their dogs strong but of course that went against a lot of the main dog peddlers who didn't like the truth and felt like it was hurting their business.
So they spread lots of lies about him and claimed him to be a crazy person but in truth don was one of the most sane people I have ever known. The things i learned from him I could not of learned from anyone else and I know many others feel the same.
    Rest in peace don

You win some and you lose some. The only way to know what you really have is to test them. Jm2c

It's only a picture. The subject has been gone over many times and bringing it up again will only take away from realistic's intension of remembering Don Mayfield on the anniversary of his passing.

Just a mazing how many arm chair "dogmen" talk smack about A dedicated dogman that I doubt they even knew!!!! Not to mention after he's passed!!! Went into him twice 1975 lost one and won one! Did we agree with everything of coarse not, BUT we did give him respect, (that he earned) Ah what the fuck is the point.......make sure you give your computer some exercise today!

What I mean was to me the picture the last one .that is of the dog standing the line with the man just invokes The idea in my head of you can't win em all but trying and losing is better then never trying

Also all dogs that stand the line doesn't mean he or she was a cur. Dog will do that for a lot of reasons. I think it's a nice picture.
