Every time i move, it makes me realize how much shit i hoard haha! I just sit and look at everything and think, screw it, i'll just stay here haha!

When i bought the house im in now, i had a month to get it remodeled and done before moving. I did all the remodeling myself.. I didn't hang the sheetrock upstairs but other than that i did all the finishing and trim, i did it all from the Kitchen (tile work, painting cabinets which i will NEVER do again), to adding a bathroom downstairs. A lot of work went in this house then i had to move on top of it all. I just hate moving in general but after this last move, i told myself i am done moving for the rest of my life! Which is a lie, i would deff move again if i had some land.

Shoot yea.. What I hate is every move shit gets lost,, I literally moved less than 100 yards & still lost so much stuff I cant fathom what went on..lol.. We have the allotment but wont live on it unless shtf ..lol.. Its a nice place 3 springs, good timber & game.. But we built on our 2 acres closer to town,, (9 miles out) Im not really in shape to take care of large parcel as far as living & working it, I would like to run a few cows one day though.

My little brother into the cow business and does well, personally don't own any.I grew up feeding cows and said once I was old enough to go my own way ,I'd never feed another one.Lol so far I haven't but i am still around them every day and do help my brother out when he needs it.Right now we are gathering hay for the winter, that's a lot easier than it use to be.When I was growing up it was the 75 lb square bails and that was work ,hard work.

My last couple years on the ranch road was putting up round bales with a big ol fancy computerized baler & cab tractor... Same as you I grew up puttin up Sb's bucking up in the loft when big enough.. I think every boy should summer at least once in the hay fields

Lol I agree man we gather around 2000 bails at a time ,so your stacking and loading 2000 and then unload and stack 2000.Was a few days I had football practice on the same day ,looking back I wonder why in the hell I did that shit lol

Siting here in the path of Hermine like many of those in the south east. Y'all make sure you got your supplies and things in order. I'm expecting power outages and tornados in the vicinity so hoping everyone stays safe.

I agree. We fed cows as a kid. Cutting hay, baling and putting up hay is quite the task.

My Pops use to say the easiest thing to do on a farm is load a bale of hay. The hardest thing to do on a farm is load the last bale of hay. LOL.

Every kid should 'prime bacco', load hay in a barn and then pick cucumbers. It will be a brand new for of appreciation.

Bama I was the same about priming tobacco. "If I ever get old enough to work somewhere else......."

Recently changed lifestyle from big city to small town. 2 different worlds I think a childhood raised working and learning about growing/raising your food is priceless. After hurricane Andrew we were left without power for over a month. Bag of ice was $10-$15 if you could find it and gas lines took you literally all day if you were lucky.

Last nights storm Hermine hit us as a hurricane cat1 the lowest of 5cat 75 miles an hour winds. No big deal right? Andrew hit us at 155mph like a freight train never heard anything like that. Difference were I live now is that they get tornados that I haven't experienced and never hope to but that can happen it and they happen fast. We were ready for shit to go down. The power reset it self a few times but power stayed on. The sky's opened up I'm not sure how much rain came down but easily over 1'. Our land is mostly sandy and rain has lacked here prior to hurricane the ground ate it up no flooding.

If you are on the east coast region this storm has a ton of rain behind it. Don't let the low winds fool you a tornado could spin off this thing a few have and flooding is expected. Folks behind me have no power I hear the generators humming we got lucky I guess.

    Just a heads up

10/4 Red, lucky we escaped with just a big mess in the yard. Free tree trim work by Mother Nature as the trees acted as an natural wall of sorts. Looks like its punching offshore in the near future. These tornados are scary as they happen fast without warning. Not like some siren or something going to warn me out where I live. Glad we have power for NCAA today and AC no power = no Bueno.
