R we under attack?

    Is this site (game-dog) under attack? Why do so many spam threads keep popping up.

    Your telling me. I delete like 6 whole pages of threads of spam every other day. It's crazy. Hard to keep up on it time wise. I try to clean it up before I go to work in the AM most every day.

    ..a few ..b-dog sites...seem to be under attack last few months.....some sad f***r's...have too much time on their hands...ya think they would just stick their heads...in the Oven...put the gas on FULL......

    We do ban the people spamming. They just make a new name.

    Most of the spam is coming from New Delhi.
    I blocked blocks of IP addresses (so if a real member is trying to get on and got blocked, I need to know their IP to unban it).
    There were also a few email domains that were being used that are now blocked. Maybe this will slow them down.

    Maybe it's possible, to make approving every new user a must, before he/she can post? That way it might be less time consuming than deleting ~6 pages of scam, daily.

    spam is the most irritating thing to deal with, i will never understand the purpose of some of it; besides to just waste our time!
