Garner's Redboy x Ginger Pups

I have said this a number of times. The guy is a financial/marketing genius. Just a few short years ago those same pups were $750. When it hit a $1000 no one was going to buy one for that amount. As the price climbs people keep buying. Until they stop buying the price will keep rising. It has little to do with the cost of living or inflation or minimum wage.

It happens in a lot of sports/lots of hobbies. I know a guy who paid $5800 for a straight six cylinder stock car motor for a 3/8th mile asphalt track. While he was picking the engine up his wife and kids were home walking on 3/4 inch piece of plywood that covered the hole in the bathroom floor.

Dog people the same. At this years pig picking there was a guy who picked up two puppies. I have no idea who he was or what he bought or how it was bred or how much he paid. I am sure it was at least $3K for two puppies. As he walked to the truck I would not have given him $1500 for the truck if he threw in one of the pups. They lifted the hood, topped off the leaking radiator and left happy as hell.

I agree with the above comment that it is just about a guarantee a $3000-$3500 will be bred.

I also agree with AGK, to each his own. If people are willing to pay that much more power to them. I can't blame him or call him names because he is willing to accept payment.

1/2 the people in this country can't draw five breaths without doing something associated with a phone, or face book or social media. Gates and Jobs and Zuckerberg....they peddlin' too? Damn straight. They identify a target audience, market to that audience, create something for that same audience and then bust them right in the ass. In turn people smile and gladly ask for another. TG and his dogs no different.

LMAO @ paying 3K for 2 pups and then having to fill up leaking radiator LOL. Classic.

 

And not knocking on those that do pay a lot for puppies. It is not my cup of tea. I have never seen or experienced the connection between high priced puppy and good dog. The biggest reason for that is I can't/won't give that much for a puppy.

When I say can't it is the money but a lot of the times I have the money but just can't force myself to let it go for one puppy.

Sad, but very true. Since no one knows him personally on here I will say his house and 3/4 acre lot are worth maybe $30K, $40 tops. I bet he owes $100K or more all in the name of Saturday night racing. Re-financed several times to keep the car going.

And since I'm throwing people under the bus it is only fair I do myself the same.

We partnered on DTA's Ch. Charlie. I bet modestly on #1 and a little heavy on #2. For #3 I bet everything I could get my hands on at the time, even my house payment. Now granted if it did not work out I would catch it up and not be homeless, but it goes to my point. When people are passionate about something it is easy to toss logic right out the window.

Looking back I have often called myself a dumbass. That was one of the times that fit the bill. LOL

Not exactly the same thing but people do crazy things when they truly believe or are truly passionate.

When the economy tanked a few years back the three major car companies nearly folded. The housing industry pretty much came to a stand still. Unemployment was up just about everywhere. Layoffs and the out sourcing of jobs was a regular head line in the papers.

With all that going on, those puppies on bulldog hill never stopped flowing.

People showed up with handfuls of money.

Same with Macgregor and Floyd. I truly believe the actual competition between the two is on the back burner, way back. I believe it is all about generating the biggest purse in history. It's all about the hoopla prior to the ringing of the bell. Mayweather does it because he can. MacGregor because MMA will never have a payday like that. It is all about the money. In turn, I feel like I should get my little chink to and will bet all I can muster on Floyd. Why? I truly believe there is no chance a non-professional boxer can compete with the greatest boxer of all time.

On another note, McGregor at 29 should hype this fight for five years like Mayweather did Pacquio, then club him when Mayweather is 45 and the skills have left him. Today I am 100% sure Floyd throttles him. Next month it may be 99.9%. My confidence will fade with time. Speaking of time, Father Time has been undefeated for a long time.

True. I think the only way to win money is bet on the round or on the compu-score totals. LOL

I respect both as they are the best going at their sport. I;m not a fan of either. I'm wondering is it a way they could both lose by KO? LOL
