After seeing the power he had on Saturday I wouldn't even give him a punchers chance tbh, he had nothing on his shots whatsoever. Mayweather wouldn't have walked him down had he felt serious power.

Michael Bisping is 100% correct when he says MMA fighters hit nowhere near as hard as boxers.

My sentiments exactly....everything he said failed lol

A few have been better IMO, notice how Mayweather was getting tagged more than usual when he tried to walk McGregor down?

I'm sure many other fighters could have been better defensively had they fought so, I could name plenty that would have beat Mayweather. Everybody is hung up on 50-0, JCC went 87-0, if he had retired with that record would that make him TBE?

Couldn't get any bets. Betting online would have taken too much money to make money. The way my pockets are set up right now, straight up bets 20-50 is all I can do...

Watch the fight again and watch Connor moving his big ass melon to get away from the stings lol I did some boxing myself and if someones punches dont hurt thats not the way you act by back peddling and trying to get away.....thats why I really wanted them to let him knock connor out the ring and shut him up for good Lmao

JCC did not have the heart to fight like Mayweather. He could not stop coming forward if he tried. I should have explained myself a little more clearly. Mayweather is the greatest boxer of all time. Period. No other fighter has ever had or displayed his skill set. With that said, I do not think Mayweather is on the Top 8 maybe Top 10 of all time great fighters. Fighters and boxers are two entirely different things.

If I am picking fighters (across weight classes) I would go with Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Chavez, Arguello, Hopkins, Hagler, Hearns, Moore, Louis, and several more I would consider better fighters. None however, were better boxers.

At some point all of those guys were either forced or chose to stand in front of another guy and trade hands til someone fell. Mayweather never chose that direction and never met anyone with enough skill to force him in that direction.

I see it as boring but at the same time I see him as the greatest boxer of all time.

I think technically he's slightly overrated especially offensively. Like i said before, i'm sure plenty other greats of the sport could have been better defensively had they fought with the same mindset as Mayweather. You don't believe the likes of SRR or SRL had that kind of technical ability?

Another factor that as almost certainly helped Mayweather out as he's aged is the use of PED's, the fighters of the past just didn't have those benefits.

Mayweather is a genuine ATG no doubt about that but I wouldn't call him the best ever IMO.

Jones Jr was for his time my all time favorite and arguably the best to do it....Sugar Ray Robinson Can't be left off that list either;)

Complete package. Nothing is in the ball park. Start splitting it up and there are some that can compete in certain categories.

Boxing is the sweet science. There are two premises to the science. Hit without getting hit and not getting hit while hitting. Depends on your perspective. Mayweather used both of these premises better than anyone ever. He spent a career mostly not getting hit while hitting.

He was so technically sound he could shift a foot a few inches, maybe slightly change an angle and his offensive power would have been more of a weapon. He simply chose not to get hit.

If we mix it altogether with offense and defense, fighters and boxers, punchers and such, Mayweather starts a slide down the list rather quickly. Separate the boxers and the fighters, he is the greatest of all time. IMO.

I can see where Slim is coming from though, the likes of Jones Jr and Ali were more gifted athletically but they didn't have the fundamentals of Mayweather. Once they lost their athleticism they didn't have the pure boxing fundamentals to keep winning.

To be fair though we've never seen Mayweather competing whilst he's been shot like we did Jones and Ali so we can't say how he would be way past it.

Without a doubt I would pay to see Roy Jones Jr,. or Chavez, Hagler and Hearns and any of the like.

My pay per view money is to see two guy trade until one guy falls. Barbaric I know, but it is what I prefer to purchase.

In MMA I never missed a Wandelei Silva fight. Win or lose, I always got my monies worth.

    Mayweather not so much.

I just reread this. Are you saying Floyd cheated?

It's only cheating if nobody else is doing it, yes I'm saying Mayweather used PED's during his career.

He never EVER failed a drug test. He didn't gain any, or even maintain, his power as he moved up in weight. Didn't smoke or drink. Worked hard, that I saw. What would lead you to believe he cheated?

I still say the three rounds between Hagler and Hearns were the best and brutal I witnessed.

"IV" heard of the conspiracy. He took another test after the fight. Did he fail ANY drug test? ANY? I'm not talking about what you, I, or anyone FEELS he did. Has he FAILED any drug tests??
