Saturday night's fight between Golovkin and Canelo confirms boxing is no longer a sport, it's a show plain and simple.

How the fcuk could that silly bint give Canelo 10 rounds in that fight? The scorecard must have been filled in prior to the fight.

IMO Golovkin is clearly over the hill but he still beat one of the best P4P fighters in the sport at his peak. I feel for the bloke because he's been great for the sport, he deserved better from these incompetent fools.

We all know that the judge was wrong but lets not take away from the fight it was good there was a few swing rounds that could of gone either way i had it 6 6 but you could argue 7 to 5 in favor of golvkin . 1 judge was wrong the other 2 judges i cant argue with

I keep hearing that but that's a cop-out IMO. It was a good fight yes but you can't have judges that inept in the sport. Boxing is especially corrupt, it's all about the $$$$

agreed and to your point it does happen a lot especially in the marketable milky skinned redheaded Mexican situations. Pacman got some with Marquez and then boned in the Bradley fight. Chavez vs sweatpea..

I think Bradley beat Pac the first time. They robbed Sweatpea several times. I think if she had the score closer like 7-5 or 8-4, not as many would complain. I think ggg won as well, tho Canelo had some good rounds and fought a DAMN GOOD fight. I'll have to watch it again and score it myself.

What I saw was Canelo throwing beautiful combos all night. He hit ggg with a pretty 6 piece combo late in the fight. His head roll and defense saved him on most of the damage too. It looked like ggg landed flush but Canelo was rolling most of em. I wonder why neither fighter committed to the body? Both landed big body shots early and just stopped throwin em.

Ggg was like the fucking Terminator. He just wouldn't stop coming forward. Canelo would have dropped most fighters with those combos and power shots. Not ggg. He has a GRRRRREAT CHIN!! He got Canelo on the ropes and made him pay a little. He should have just power jabbed or body shot when Canelo went to the ropes on his own tho. Made him move or come out.

    Great fight!

The lack of bodyshots was very strange from Golovkin. Maybe he just can't pull the trigger anymore, he's not the same fighter he was a few years back. I think he's clearly past it but nevertheless he still beat one of the best P4P fighters out there.

I can see GGG 7-5, maybe even 8-4, but I am not sure what fight she was watching.

I wondered about the body shots as well. Both looked to be very effective and I thought GGG's shots to Canelo's body would be the difference, especially later on.

It was like both of them just chose to another direction.

It was good fight. I'm glad it got done for GGG.

I'm thinking it is too much money on the table for there not to be a rematch.

The skeptic in my says a fix is out of the question and there's a good argument to say it wasn't but something seems off to me, Golovkin's lack of body work is one thing. The talk of a trilogy before the fight adds to my suspicions as well as other little clues.

Golovkin deserves the big paydays, if this is the way he has to achieve it then who knows hey......
