Yes. O'Brien's are a couple good people. I have ordered a belt buckle from them.
Really cool peice. Goes great with the belt from the swamp.

I have all the hardware off a Stillwater collar that Hope ate. The loose end..that has a adjustable rectangle holder to keep loose end attached...well ol Hope was able to get it.(kinda like a person trying to bite their ear)
That is the only recommendation / review I'll give.
Just need to secure the adjustable strap holder like the first one is.

O'Brien's hands down in my opinion the best money can buy. And you won't meet any nicer people either. They still go that ADBA shows confirmation wait for what have you and if times were tough for you on money do even give you some stuff , I was referred to O'Briens many years ago bye a legend TDK, I've got collars today that I got back in over 2014 at a show. That look ruff,, but they're still holding up..

He was at Tom's gathering last year and I bought four more collars.

You hear things. People say things. Being on the outside looking in and not personally having a bad experience with Shane I can just speak up for his collars. I have a couple that are in the 2012-2013 time frame and still are serving me well.

Hopefully this all gets worked out as the few times I have met him in person he seemed like a good guy. All my dealings with him have been timely and he delivered as promised so I can only judge by personal experience.

Again, hopefully it works out for the best.

I have 2 of shanes collars I use to hold a bitch for breeding, one is on my basement steps, one is constantly exposed to the elements outside attached to my back porch stairs main beam. It's from when he only did single ply nylon with double ply seatbelt collars. Around 2005 or 06. Looks pretty weatherd from our weather extremes we have here but still highly functional. I still use it. It was on 3 different dogs before ending up screwd into my steps. I'm sure I have pictures of my dog Redrum or M.I.A wearing it and Redrum has been dead for a decade.

Wardog used to buy from O'brians. They were well made collars but were way more rigid or stiff than Shanes but still very much built to last.

You'll get a great collar from either of them. I've only ever used Stillwaters collars the entire time I've been into these dogs so I'm probably a bit bias.

Now a days It's pretty easy to find well made collars. Many people make them. I would find one who you get along well with, has good, fast service and you can easily contact and buy from.

The one thing I can say with certainty is, I aint ever had a Stillwater fail me.

That's what's up. I've had some for years also. The only complaint I have is in regards to his Bronson type show collars.. there are two square wire type flap holders I'll call him one of them is stitched in in the other ones loose the loose one doesn't really stay on as good as the other one and allows the dog to get to the leather end and pull it loosening up the buckle. oral girl hope was able to pull hers off ate every bit of the thread and leather and I found the remnants all the hardware still in her house.
That's the only problem I had I also own a working harness the type that little bit from this site used to wear had it for probably at least 6 years mini dogs have been through it.

like said above not really sure what's going on but I hope that he is able to get back where he needs to be he's got some really good gear and has prompt shipping service every time that I've used him.
Good to see the post above y'all.

Everyone who is telling how good Stillwater gear is. Is preaching to the converted. I have Stillwater collars years old still like new , I need to get in touch with Shane to get a deal finished. I live thousands of miles away or I could go sort it in person , I did loads of deals over the years with Shane and never had a problem. Just my last deal went south and I need to get it sorted.

There's a local feed and seed store here in Pelion that actually has been selling collars four years, made by the Amish. There are good colors strong rings very well-made. At the end of the day it's just a matter of preference. They also make harnesses that are very well made. Pics below, Obrian's collar, harness made by the Amish local..

the Amish… they make decent leather products as well, which I’ve used for years with much water exposure, salt and chlorine included. aside from cost, why nylon more popular than (quality) leather?

Because leather will stretch out over time a lot more than nylon and seatbelt webing will. Especially with a chain dog.
It will also get mold on it.

Shane took care of me. I was already refunded and I got a surprise in the mail today. Was a pleasant surprise. Sent me the same number of collars I ordered and was refunded for. Good business in my eyes. I'll continue spending with him.
