Give her salt water to drink, pour it in her mouth, add 2 small spoons of kitchen salt to the water, she will vommit in a heartbeat and probably will throw up the sock.

Hydrogen Peroxide works very well too. Put in a syringe and squirt it right down the throat. 30cc's is usually all it will take.

 

I once owned a littermate brother of Parker's Ch.Shannon, he swallowed a completely large bath towel without my knowledge. When I went for a walk he looked dried out and it turned out to be, after 5 minutes he fell over. With a speed I went to the animal doctor and he saw nothing special on the X-rays made and put the dog on the drip for a day. After I came home with the dog, I went for a walk with him, when he, I thought, had to poop, he started to squeak and turn and to my great surprise I saw a pink point of a towel come out of his rear end. Whatever the dog did, he couldn't get it out, so I had to pull out that bath towel, which was accompanied by splashes and smells and a screaming dog, the whole thing just happened when I walked past a school that went out.
We probably had about 200 spectators, laughing that they did, and I can well imagine that.
After the bath towel was out, the dog went well again as usual.

 

The things we do for animals...

 

I had a quicksand bred dog a few years ago that loved to swallow both socks and my daughters mothers thongs. I shit you not, after our winter there would be at least 12 thongs and many pairs of socks in the back yard wadded up like the shape of an intestine when the snow thawed.. Luckily he never had blockage from it and always passed them with no issues. Dogs aren't the brightest animals. Lol

 

Yeah it can kill them.
Had an nice female English bull- terrier who thought it would be fun to destroy and eat a hard plastic garden chair, she had an blockage, was operated for big bucks and never was the same dog again and died young.
Known about another one who died by eating a cork from a bottle of champagne.
Sold once an APBT pup and that one chocked and died in her kennel due of big chunk of cheese stuck in her throat.

 

I had a dog like this. She once ate a 6ft leash... One day I came home one day and she was dead. I fed her before work and when I woke up for my third shift she was stiff as a board. I cried all the way to work.

 

She passed the sock couple days ago.... so glad
