My sisters roommate at University was going out with the Director of the Original This Is England Movie back in the day. Shane Meadows, his dead mans shoes movie is filmed round here and scenes from This is England series are also filmed within 10 miles of where I live.

I saw the movie, and it was good.

 

Benecio Del Toro was in both Snatch and Sicario. I like him. First saw him in The Usual Suspects.

Yeah a great actor. That Snatch movie had some big stars, Brad Pit, A small looking Jason Statham as Turkish, Benecio, and more.

A song that uses quotes from that movie or Lock Stock is Necro Dead Body Disposal. Crunch through bones like butter. Lmao.

I enjoyed the movie till the racist character turned up and it took a dark path. The tv series is very dark and depressing. The this is England 90 is slightly more lighthearted and more accessible.

 

Yea Stephen Graham played the racist skinhead (and did a great job). What most people don't realize is that skinheads didn't start out being as racist as some of them became. They started as a hard-working, hard-drinking class.

 

I get that. Due to Thatcher's Britain, closing of the Pits and economic problems and unemployment all contributed to the disenfranchisement of the working classes especially in the North of England. The Drinking culture and football and area rivalry always had an edge of racism to it.

The original Skinheads were actually black and had nothing to do with the National Front or racism but ska music.

Tough era Falkland and Northern Ireland conflict for Britain.

 

A good movie about a Colby match dog for those that haven't seen it. If you haven't seen it watch it you will enjoy.

I just watched the new Bad Boys for life movie last night. There's a pit type dog in it.

rented that silly Tarantino Hollywood flick the other day. Pitt’s character has what looked to be a red nose colored cropped bully..
they must of had a hard time finding one trained dog for filming, as the dog was a female in one scene then looked to be a male in the last, from what I could see

 

@oldguy here at 2.33 some little staffs, this song brings back good old memories as I have met these boys several times in the past.


And yes the used staffs in the clip belonged to them personally as they were huge stafford fans.
