During 70's I lived in Barnsley UK, used to take bus into town and there was big adult male lion on a chain in Scrap Yard just off Barnsley road, a couple of German Shepherds chained beside it.. That's before new animal laws came in, but crazy sitting on bus and see a lion play with 2 German shepherds.. Cousin told me later the lion killed both dogs, so pretty much same situation as david63, he just reminded me that's all.

Using a semi-wild wolf to bait all the time like these idiots do is not the same as seeing a hungry wild wolf try and take your dog to feed on.

Those kangal videos are bullshit, believe me the cards will be massively stacked against the wolves favour.

There is a huge difference in fighting for your life as apposed to fighting for the love of the fight. Most all wild animals fight but it is usually just a quick scrap and one bolts off to avoid serious injury. The lone wolf and the cougar will run away the first chance they get unless they are besting the dog. If the dog is hurting it,, it will run..

It's basic wild animal behavior.

 

Every single video I have seen of a dogo with a puma the puma was either young or de clawed.

 

The reason that breed exists is as a large game hunting dog, to say they can't do it is like saying today's APBT won't fight. Makes no sense. They have been used for a fairly long time now to hunt those animals. Obviously they must be decent at it or the breed would have died off, not flourished.. that cat in the video I posted was wild and the size of the dog attacking it so I hardly doubt the claws are missing. He'll, I watched 3 other videos that showed the cat doing damage to a dogos face with it's claws so the videos are out there.

 

True,and I agree,but it must be my eyes mate because all I seen was a bit of a to do with mutts,dogo and puma rolling down a hill for about three seconds.
The wolf vid ,the music says it all.because with out that music we would here the cry of that Kangel of that I’m pretty sure.
The wolf was on the run alright,but would he be on the run if a screaming man with a stick was not present?...probably yes,as he was possibly disturbed from sheep or chicken steeling.
But That kangel let the wolf run more then once.why?

Because the kangel is a cur just like the wolf it’s fighting with.

Normally takes three kangels with huge spikes on there collars,and with help from man,to kill a big wolf...this there is vids on.

Wolfs don’t like the presence of man.many animals will fight with dogs.but most don’t stand to fight with dogs if they no humans are around.

I’m under the impression wolfs and cats are more scared of humans rather then are dogs.

About the puma thing check out Morocho.
No vid of it fighting the cat it’s famous for killing.
But there is a vid of the dog afterwards.wooooosh man that dog got cut up some,face like cross crosses.but it’s said Marocho sure did kill a puma.
It’s also known that in Argentina years ago a popular sport was dog v puma in a cage.

One dog swims to a island that’s got around maybe thirty of these Capivers on there.ten full minutes of the dog at war with them all.they drown the dog,mob him,the fight goes from land to water.the dog fairly shakes a few of them of there feet.
After ten mins dog gets tired and swims back to its owner.the dog quiting ain’t the thing here.the dog fighting with thirty huge rodents for a full ten mins is what we are looking at.
Remember that these beasts are the worlds largest rodent.they out weigh a beaver by quite a lot.

The discussion isn't whether or not they are cur or not. We all know they are. It clearly shows that dog having his way with that wolf. Yous are trying to create unrealistic scenarios. Yes there was a person there too. Well of course there is, who do you think is doing the hunting lol.

The point is both those breeds are bred for the specific jobs people on here are saying they can't do. Obviously they can since that's exactly what they are used for. Hunting large game for 1 and protecting sheep from wolves for the other.

I mean, it's not rocket science.

I follow a hunter on Instagram called Calli Catcher and he has some very handy dogs including Dogo's and he said claims of single handed Cougar killers are just a myth.

Yeah but they were bred to do it in packs. I like the dogo a lot as my family is from Argentina. I just have a hard time seeing any breed of dog against a puma.

 

That’s right. I remember seeing that video, the full length version. The puma was shot prior to that.
