Post the legends and up and comers here. We always hear about dogmen but what about the dogwomen. Many legendary breeders, handlers, and so forth of them

    Wow.
4 I’ve known pretty well off the top of my head
Renee Greenwood, Nancy Swertferger, Julie Lowery and my old partner X.
Those that are/were lucky enough to know H understand the respect she earned both in and out of the dogs, God never made a better woman let alone a dog woman.

And I could list many many more than just 4.
As an ADBA judge I always enjoyed Sharon Sundy. She has a great eye for dogs and all animals in particular, a very sharp woman.

I am truly sorry I foolishly dismissed your chihuahuas as less than dogs.

I am still ‘here’ wherever that may be as I don’t usually stay in one place for long but I can often be found somewhere between the Mississippi River and the Pacific Ocean.
After a lifetime of being tied down to something..my education, jobs, dogs, various relationships, businesses, dogs, family, employees, responsibilities, dogs, dogs, dogs, the law on my ass, real estate, more responsibilities, recovering from a motorcycle accident that nearly killed me, building my dream home, aging parents, selling businesses, burying dogs, burying parents, liquidating assets, selling dream home I built, burying siblings, letting it all go, realizing we are all in this world together and alone, wandering this world without even a dog by my side because one more dog might be too much weight.
    I am well..

Mrs Tudor, also. A well respected dog woman , good breeder around these parts is Paula Poland. She charges a working man's price to this very day. 400. A pup

    Haha.
I attempt to always stay sober in thought but those that really know me have seen some ultimate parties!!
I mean holy fuck...we got away with THAT???!!
X could throw down like very few people I’ve ever seen man or woman and still be the smartest person in any room she happened to walk into, an amazing soul in and out of the dogs.
If you learned from her you were really blessed because if you took it to heart and did AS SHE DID, not just what she said, you would see the results and what resulted is what happens when you do things the right way, good things. It’s not simply dogs it’s life in its entirety.
When she said something people would listen, wrinkle their forehead, remember it and shut the fuck up because she was and is a fountain of truth.
One could see in her actions, do the right thing! Be dedicated, the little things matter.
Julie Lowery was the same way. WCC Wasn’t Bob, Julie carried that entire operation on her back, she was the workhorse, she was dedicated and made sure shit got done right, God bless her.
Not in any way to say anything bad about Bob but there ain’t no WCC without Julie.
And Sonny Sykes but that’s another story.

    One more thing
Sonny was in awe of Julie and later X. He recognized greatness when he saw it. He saw the dogs, the success they were having and the pure joy the dogs exhibited in their health and breeding.
Just think about it.. Deacon went from Katie as a stud to WCC which was Julie.
I wanted some splinters off that fencepost as Sonny would say
It was Julie who bred Deacon to Roxy and there wouldn’t be a lot of good dogs around now today if H had not followed in their footsteps and put the pieces literally together herself.
    Just sayin...
The best dogmen I ever knew were women and I’m man enough to admit it
