Great old pics ! FWK, I have a question that I'm sure has came up many times over the years on this site, However I want to ask your oppion. Were the Great winning Bulldogs of the past such as we are looking at now, Better all around Bulldogs than we have today ? Ofcoure I realize today's technology The science of genenetic's along with proper nutrition, Sports medicine, such as "Anabolic Steroids" ect. 45 plus years ago a lot of the have changed. I would like to think that today's Bulldogs are as good or better. What are your thoughts..

Old time standards = old time dogs.
It all depends on the breeder and his insights plus a little luck comes also in play.
And good ownership is also very, very important, mostly one with a screw loose will screw up his dog as well.
The dog of today if bred right is just that good or bad as the dog of yesterday.
Nowadays the food, information and everything else is easier to get for the modern fancier, which wasn't Always the case in the past.
