Point is if you dont know for a FACT then better not to comment and if you must comment do it appropriately. Callin someone you dont know a prick is sure fire way to get F'd up! All you got is the info the media supplied you with. Im sure after you are here for a little while you will understand a little better. Its not about taking sides as much as just respecting everyone elses opinions and views and know the heresay is only that. Dont take something you hear as a fact.

I don't know if you understand, people are about preserving the breed. How can you preserve something if you are not sure it has the quality it was bred to have, gameness? If you're breeding dogs that have not been tested, you got two parents of unsure animals... litters and litters of unsure pups that will soon become parents themselves... in no time u just contributed to the destruction of the breed. You got thousands of dogs with not even one working PB in their background. Might as well be an amstaff. People who would pride themselves on having a dog that would decimate another animal or that would go into a hog with its guts hanging out are not compensating for a small penis as you say lol they are just proud to have a dog that will stop at nothing, that is more courages than any other animal and will look death in the eye and go right back. That's an incredible animal, anyone who isnt proud to have a dog as loyal and fearless as that doesnt deserve to own it! Its pefect in its design. Its not for a laugh either.

gameness is only present in two animals on the planet....pitbulls...and game roosters....even the patterdales/terriers/etc...display some traits that are associated with gameness but all fall short...i mentioned the gut gashed AB who tore away from her medical care and caught a hog and then passed out...while in hold...that was as close to game as anything i have ever seen...without being game....living in the rural south a lot of people allow there dogs to run free...i have known countless number of dogs that chase cars, get hit, damn near killed, and as soon as they get their shit together it is right back to chasing cars...believe it or not, this is extreme prey drive...that dog can be taught to do just about any type of sport work, flyball, agility work....that AB had extreme prey drive..the hog moved and she caught it...she had disregard for herself but not out of gameness, but out of her prey drive....if she had been badly hurt, broken limbs, broken jaw, anything that would have kept her from stopping the prey item...well, she would have stopped til she got her shit together......gameness is the inability from WITH-IN to stop.....

This is one of the best posts if not the best on this thread. Seriously, this us a GAME DOG site. If you're gonna come on here with an am bulldog that's great but don't come on here knocking on people for matching their dogs when that's what a game dog is for!!!! That would be like me going on a deed hunting site and saying "I think it's wrong for those people to shoot those deer and they need their butts kicked. Makes no sense and all you're gonna do is pids people off. It's like wardog said.......you're wasting your time trying to explain it to people who just don't get.......penis extension:rolleyes:yea that's what it is:dogtongue:

gameness is found in all things from man to chicken and we admire it in our breed because we reconise it in our selves. their are many storys by old timers of dogs of other breeds showing extreme gameness , but the difference is, the cur will show game , but a bulldog will show game and throw game .

Your obviously not in the know about Gamedogs and the people that feed them!
Yes There are some people that do it like you say, (Sad but true) and then there are two other types!
I got this from another site and since I wrote it I'm gonna paste it here!
Now There are three kinds of people that are involved in the world of Gamedogs, Im gonna try to break it down for ya.

#1 A natural born coward that cannot and will not commit that kind of violence to save there own life or the lives of loved one's or others, But gets true pleasure of watching the blood and guts of mortal combat, they can admire and at the same time hate any creature man or animal that poseses courage which they severly lack but can only envy one's that do!

#2 Then there is the one's in it for the money involved with these dogs Gamblers and peddlers They have no respect for the animals just $ These people dont respect anything or anybody unless it can lead them to that all mighty doller!

#3 A true lover and admirer of utmost courage one that posses it till no end, a lover of the heart that drives a true Bulldawg which is akin to the heart that beats in there own human body, a person that when they see a display of that kind of gumtion they cant help themselves from finding it trully awe inspiring , filling there hearts with the magic stuff, that lesser men could only wish they could obtain!

This is my take on the three types of people that deal with these dogs.

I didn't include the whole post I wrote on that other site, But I might as well! as I think it pertains to Kira's Misunderstanding, below is the rest.

Now basically these three types of people can be found in every race, in every country and every social status, they come from everywhere, not just the hood!
The gaming world of gamedogs is no exception, ya got your dirtbags and ya got your True dogmen, The true Dogmen protects what they love and what is sacred to them (courage) These people are just as game as there dogs, they keep these dogs because there an extention of ones self , So I feel people shouldnt be so fast to pass judgment on a subject most will never know the meaning of, and only gather lil tid bits from here or there but mostly Animal Planet!

Have you ever heard of anyone boasting about how there dog would die for them? Im shure we all have heard that, may have even said it a time or two.
Ok now for something rare, rare indeed! Somethin you may never Understand and or belive unless you were looked at dead in the eye and felt the seriousness of the the words> I"LL DIE FOR MY DOGS! Dont Judge a man like that! Dont even try to figuer him out! Leave um alone!!!!!!!!! no matter what he does with his bulldawgs!!!!!!!!!!

I would say that AB are not game.
i dont think many people here actually now what Gamenes.

AB`s are working and hunting dogs.

    i have 5 AB`s and i have seen many AB`s.

And yeah, many AB`s have high drive, but many of them have no drive at all.

    Best regards Alex.

Offcourse they are game, just not on the same level as the pitbull. What do you exactly think gameness is?

level? i know everyone tests their dogs differently but i dont like the idea of levels...a dog is ethier game or not.

Now this will really throw a spanner in the works guys....my mum gave me a magazine some time ago just to read because it had the story of a dog in it...a little spaniel saw a stafford bite its owner...this litte dog rang over and straight into the stafford....the stafford must of done serious damage to the poor little thing...they kicked the dog off and it was the spaniel who got up and still went into the stafford....wasnt there so cant say but would that dog not of shown gameness and probally due to the bond with its owner?

Like i said i think the only game test should be the dog on deaths door doing a task which it was bred for...true to type...

this is where a lot of the misunderstanding and the misconceptions come from...there is no level of gameness....no one dog is any more game than the next....game is game...and not game is not game....pit game, dead game, deep game...is like being alomost pregnant....just no such thing....but i have caught myself using those very terms....US1

I liked the definition someone posted about it being the genetic inabilility to stop. That's an interesting way to put it... that the dog does not possess the ability to want to stop.

I think its more of a genetic temperament predisposistion, than a hard genetic trait, I like the way someone said its like a personality trait, a personality that is desired and is bred upon. So unlike a trait like color or size, its a way of thinking that each dog has or doesn't, and the dogs that DO have this way of thinking it is what we breed for, that which is inside the dogs head.....
