    Finished up.

I do plan on putting a different roof on the dog house. one with a 3" overhang on all 3 sides, hinges, and another hasp latch this weekend.

    Thank you.

The hinges were fairly cheap. About $9 for the pair. I got them only because they were very heavy duty for what I needed.

All together I'm about $250 into it. Fencing I picked up for close to free from a buddy and I had the roofing panels laying around.

If anyone would like to material list/plans I'd be happy to share.

Thanks a lot of debate went on about trying them. I'm glad we did. I would go with the thicker "DURA-SLAT" ones next time though or add more bracing. I don't think they'll break or anything just the flex in them could "scare" some ppl.

Looks nice, man. One change I would personally make is the wire. That chicken wire type stuff can be torn through very easily. Grab some horse panel from TSC when you can and swap it out. Much stronger and safer.

We had planned on using goat/horse panels on top of the fencing we used, on this particular one we opted out and are just keeping young pups and easy keepers in it.

I said the exact same thing though treez. Every time I go to a yard and see just that type of fencing in kennels with real dogs in them I roll my eyes.

I like it, it looks good. Only thing i would of done which is a personal thing is add a side door closer to the house. Maybe the roof comes off though and i can't tell from the pics?

The roof is hinged to check on pups, etc. So we have a door in the front and a 2'x3' lifting lid in the rear.
